Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launches today on PC, bringing tactical team-based combat to new Southeast Asian battlefields. Before deploying, players need to understand how the game's four distinct modes function, how map control works, and what conditions dictate victory.
Quick Facts
- Platform: PC
- Launch Date: Today
- Game Modes: Warfare, Offensive, Conquest, and Domination
- Standard Match Time Limit: Up to 90 minutes (Warfare, Conquest, Domination)
Key Tactical Terms
Before entering a match, players should note three essential spatial definitions:
- Hard Cap: The designated circle marked directly on the map around a capture point within a sector. Fighting here multiplies capturing power by three.
- Soft Cap: The four grid squares (a 2x2 area) surrounding the objective. Players here contribute one-manpower toward capturing power.
- Sector: A 2x8 section of the map containing one of the five capture points.
Warfare Mode
Warfare serves as the signature tug-of-war mode. Both teams start in control of their respective map halves, while the central sector begins neutral. Teams push back the enemy by capturing sequential sectors. Matches last up to 90 minutes, concluding either when a team captures the enemy HQ sector or controls the majority of sectors when the time limit expires.
Offensive Mode
Offensive structures matches around a strict attack-versus-defense format. Attackers have a 30-minute countdown to capture five points sequentially, resetting the timer with each successful sector capture. Defenders win the match by successfully holding any active sector until the 30-minute timer expires. Unlike Warfare, only players fighting directly within the Hard Cap contribute toward capturing objectives in Offensive mode.
Conquest and Morale
Conquest departs from traditional frontlines by arranging capture points in a cross-shaped layout, allowing teams to attack multiple points in any order. The mode introduces a Morale system: teams possess a finite amount of Morale that depletes upon player redeployment and gradually bleeds based on map control. Running out of Morale while the enemy holds majority control ends the match, whereas running out while holding the majority triggers Overtime.
Domination Mode
Domination splits its match structure into two distinct phases. Teams initially fight over three central capture points in any order. Securing the majority (two out of three) unlocks the opposing team's locked HQ, allowing attackers to push into enemy territory for an immediate victory. If neither HQ falls before the timer expires, the team controlling the majority of capture points wins.
