Rockstar Games has confirmed that a major new update is coming to GTA Online, adding a fresh heist to the long-running title. The Kortz Center Heist arrives on July 14, tasking players with infiltrating Los Santos' premier cultural space to steal prized artworks.
Quick Facts
- Release Date: July 14, 2026
- Objective: Infiltrate the Kortz Center and steal valuable exhibits.
- Team Size: Solo or up to four players.
- Rewards: Players can display stolen artwork in their own properties.
According to the official description, players will link up with a mysterious character named Mr. Faber and his chief fixer, Raf De Angelis. The mission requires players to scout the museum, plan their approach, and execute the robbery. Once the artwork is secured, it can be kept as a trophy to display at the player's properties.
While the mission supports solo play, Rockstar suggests that bringing a team of four will be beneficial for the heist. This addition arrives just months before the scheduled launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, 2026.
The Future of GTA Online
With the release of the next mainline entry in the franchise approaching, fans have speculated that the Kortz Center Heist could be one of the final major updates for the current version of GTA Online. While Rockstar has not announced a successor to the current online platform, the developer has confirmed that GTA Online will remain fully playable after GTA 6 is released later this year.
While content updates are expected to slow down as the studio shifts focus, the existing live-service game will not be shut down, ensuring that current players can continue their progress in Los Santos.
