Grand Theft Auto Online is expanding its heist catalog next week. Rockstar Games has confirmed that a new mission, centered on the Kortz Center art gallery, will launch for all platforms on July 14, 2026.

Quick Facts

  • Release Date: July 14, 2026
  • Requirement: Players must own a mansion (added late 2025)
  • Objective: Infiltrate the Kortz Center to steal fine art

The mission takes players to the Kortz Center, a location previously featured in the main story of Grand Theft Auto V. To participate, players are required to own one of the mansions introduced to the game late last year. The setup process remains consistent with established GTA Online operations, allowing for either solo or crew-based planning before tackling the final score.

Heist Mechanics and Replayability

Rockstar has emphasized a more open-ended approach for this heist. Players can scope out the location to identify treasures and discover multiple escape routes. The developer notes that the mission encourages a covert approach, as stolen art maintains higher value on the secondary market if the player avoids witnesses and wipes CCTV footage.

The heist is designed to be played repeatedly. While the primary payout is highest on the initial sale each week, players have the option to keep stolen primary target paintings to decorate their mansions. With three new paintings available to steal each week and various ways to approach the objective, the mission is intended to offer a high degree of replayability.

For now, this heist appears to be the most significant addition to the game on PC for the remainder of the year. As the industry looks toward the eventual release of Grand Theft Auto VI, the structure of this update suggests that Rockstar is aiming to keep the existing player base engaged with long-tail content, regardless of whether or when an online component for the next title is integrated.

Meanwhile, the developer continues to navigate legal challenges in the UK, involving ongoing employment and union-related disputes.
