The final week of the Horizon Decades event has arrived in Forza Horizon 6, bringing a heavy-hitting track performer to the Festival Playlist. Players looking to bolster their garage with a proven record-breaker have until July 16 to secure the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R.
Known for its blistering 7:10.92 lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the GT R arrives in-game as one of the fastest RWD, road-legal vehicles of its era. The car is tuned for precision, featuring a handmade 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, rear-wheel steering, and adjustable AMG Ride Control suspension. With its larger rear wing, it is positioned as a primary choice for tackling the game’s technical Time Attack Circuits.
Season Rewards and Car Pass Updates
Unlocking the GT R requires hitting 20 points on the current Festival Playlist. Beyond this centerpiece, the Spring season offers additional incentives for dedicated racers:
- 20 PTS: 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R
- 40 PTS: 2017 Saleen S7 LM
The series-wide rewards also remain available for those grinding through the event, with the 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau requiring 80 points and the 2018 Lotus Exige Cup 430 unlocking at 160 points.
For those interested in expanding their roster via the Car Pass, the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla is now available. This modern hatchback features a 1.6-liter engine producing 300 bhp, utilizing an all-wheel-drive system designed for high-grip maneuvers. Players can further customize the GR Corolla with a suite of Toyota Sport parts, including new front and rear bumpers, a hood, and a rear wing.
