Former Escape From Tarkov lead game designer Jean Tyulegenov has joined Nomion Games as creative director for the studio's debut PC tactical shooter, Rush is Real. Tyulegenov departs Battlestate Games after nine years alongside fellow ex-colleagues Dmitry Ogorodnikov and German Terekhov, who have also joined the new development team.

While specific gameplay mechanics remain sparse, the team has outlined what they intend to steer clear of. Ogorodnikov confirmed that the tactical shooter will not rely on unnecessary interface elements or forced realism, purposefully avoiding standard genre clones trapped in a gray zone of repetitive design. Instead, the studio aims to build the project around an original mechanic.

Discussing the broader industry climate, Tyulegenov pointed out that rising budgets and high player demands for complex graphical features often push studios toward lower-risk projects. However, he views the current industry slump as an opening to engage players with an original concept on PC. Additionally, Nomion Games plans to use AI tools strictly for routine tasks and workflow acceleration, keeping core design decisions entirely in human hands.
