Following a rocky launch on PC, the development team has addressed ongoing performance concerns, specifically targeting lag spikes and the current unavailability of the game's trade and vending features.

Current Technical Status

According to the developers, the issues stem from a backend architecture shift implemented between the demo and Early Access phases. This new system failed to handle the unexpected player volume at launch. While players have requested additional server hardware, the team clarified that capacity is not the bottleneck; even at peak times, the servers have not reached maximum CPU utilization.

To stabilize the experience, the team is currently working on the following:

  • Auction House Rework: The system is being rebuilt to eliminate lag spikes without requiring a total server shutdown or data wipe.
  • Feature Restoration: Trade and vending systems are being prioritized for restoration as soon as the backend is stabilized.
  • Backend Improvements: The team is actively addressing architectural flaws and is in the process of hiring a full-time backend developer to assist with these fixes.

Development Timeline Constraints

The developers noted that the rapid progression from playtest to demo, Kickstarter, and finally Early Access left no room to onboard new technical staff before launch. While applications for a backend developer role had been open for months, the project's pacing prevented the team from integrating new help until after the current issues surfaced. With the Kickstarter funds now received, the team confirms they are moving forward with hiring to expedite the necessary backend overhauls.

The team maintains that they are working nonstop to resolve these stability issues and will continue to provide updates as progress is made on the backend architecture and feature restoration.
