The video message was commissioned via Cameo by the fan group Shenmue Dojo. In the clip, the intergalactic space warrior character addresses Sega directly regarding the franchise's future. "I’ve got a little bone to pick with you because the fans would like to campaign for an update — from you, Sega — about Shenmue 4," Count Binface says in the video, adding a remark about not leaving fans on another cliffhanger.
Alongside the call for Shenmue 4 news, the video features offhand requests for the return of SegaWorld in London’s Trocadero and an arcade-prime Sonic the Hedgehog. The video surfaced while Harvey campaigns in a Clacton by-election against Reform UK party leader Nigel Farage.
