A New Wave-Based Strategy Experience

Designed as a standalone experience, Final Stand focuses on holding the line against 12 escalating waves of enemy forces. The gameplay is built on the tactical foundation of the mainline series but incorporates roguelite progression systems. Players must build layered defenses and adapt their strategies as they face increasing threats, including 36 unique boss units and 18 dynamic battlefield events.

Between rounds, players construct custom battlegroups by selecting randomized units and abilities. These choices persist throughout each run, aiming to ensure that no two sessions play out exactly the same way. The game features five purpose-built battlegrounds and offers eight difficulty levels, ranging from newcomer to veteran.

Factions and Progression

Players can command one of four iconic factions: the US Forces, Wehrmacht, British Forces, or the Deutsches Afrikakorps. Each faction provides its own strategic opportunities and unique progression paths. Beyond the individual rounds, players can engage with persistent progression trees to unlock powerful perks and abilities, encouraging long-term mastery of their chosen faction.

The release coincides with the franchise's 20th anniversary. In addition to the core gameplay, Final Stand includes four premium cosmetic skin packs and brand-new announcer voice performances.

Endless Mode and Anniversary Context

While the standard challenge involves surviving 12 waves of combat, those seeking a greater test can utilize the dedicated Endless Mode. This launch follows the recent announcement of Company of Heroes – Definitive Edition, as Relic continues its series-wide 20th-anniversary celebrations throughout the year.
