Key Changes in Update 1.0.6
The headline fix for the patch addresses the Kraken wheel, which was previously listed with an incorrect, excessively high price. Following the update, the item is no longer overly expensive for players building out their ships.
Players also gain the ability to hide Edward Kenway's blowpipe through the inventory menu if they prefer an outfit unobstructed by the weapon. Additionally, Ubisoft has enabled a tutorial teaching players how to throw cash to distract guards—a mechanic that was previously unprompted in the game.
Technical Fixes and Save Slots
The patch introduces several technical improvements and visual tweaks:
- Autosaves increased from 5 to 10 slots.
- Fixed an issue causing PC cutscenes to lock at 30 FPS when graphics settings were toggled from low to custom.
- Edward can now pull up his hood midway through a leap of faith dive.
- Fixed an issue where players hiring dancers while standing on a box could trigger unexpected errors.
- Resolved an issue where Edward failed to turn his head toward aiming reticles during naval battles.
- Fixed naval convoy leaders flying away after lowering a wanted level or sending them to Kenway's fleet during boarding.
- Corrected enemy blood appearing to emerge from the hips instead of the chin during pistol finishing kills.
- Fixed a bug allowing Edward to fast travel to the Jackdaw while carrying food, which previously caused the food items to disappear.
