Studio Wildcard has detailed a new creature arrival alongside major server updates and community highlights for ARK: Survival Ascended. The latest communication outlines the exact deployment date for a desert specialist creature, temporary server expansions, and structured PvP changes across official clusters.

The Concavenator Arrives in August

The fan-favorite Concavenator from Garuga123’s ARK Additions mod officially joins the base game. Known as a desert specialist, the creature is designed for high-speed dune traversal and aerial maneuvers. Alone, it functions as an elusive threat, while coordinated packs can utilize sand clouds and multi-angle strikes. Players can expect the creature to land on August 26th.

Genesis Part 1 Expire Servers and Capacity

To address player population pressure following the Genesis Part 1 rollout, additional official servers have gone live across EU, NA, and Oceanic Small Tribes regions. Among these additions are temporary servers designated as Expire servers.

Players can locate these sessions by searching for 'Expire' in the session filter. These temporary worlds remain operational until 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET on September 19, 2026. Wildcard utilizes server capacity allocated for future maps to host these sessions, allowing players to transfer items, creatures, and characters on and off freely. Any data remaining on these servers at the expiration deadline will be permanently lost.

Conquest Season 8 and ARKpocalypse Updates

Conquest Season 8 is live across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation with a focus on large-scale PvP, 5x rates, and specific rulesets. The season spans 18 maps centered entirely around Genesis Part 1, split into two clusters: Cluster A consists of 12 servers with prior Classic transfer histories, while Cluster B contains 6 servers with isolated transfers for two weeks before opening up to Cluster A on July 17 at 10 AM PT.

Tek is enabled for Conquest Season 8 with targeted exclusions on the Tek Grenade, Tapejara Tek Saddle, Megalodon Tek Saddle, Rock Drake Tek Saddle, Mosasur Tek Saddle, and Tek Railgun. Meanwhile, ARKpocalypse monthly-wipe servers have reset with higher rates, leading up to the next scheduled wipe on August 21, 2026.

Official Network Bonus Rates

Temporary bonus rates remain active across the Official Network through Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Standard PvP and PVE servers receive 2x harvesting, taming, experience, and breeding rates. Small Tribes players benefit from 4.5x harvesting, taming, and experience alongside 4x breeding, while ARKpocalypse rules boast 5x across all categories.
