Respawn is launching the Apex Legends Marked update on August 4, 2026, bringing a comprehensive slate of changes to multi-platform players, including a full Bloodhound rework, a World's Edge map overhaul, and an energy weapon systems overhaul.

Quick Facts

  • Release Date: August 4, 2026
  • Platforms: Multi-platform
  • Key Additions: Bloodhound rework, World's Edge map changes, energy weapon ammo overhaul, Corrupted Attachments, and UI stat updates

Bloodhound Rework and Legend Changes

Bloodhound receives a refreshed kit aimed at addressing low pick rates in middle-to-high tiers. Their new ultimate, Allfather's Cloak, drops a device that cloaks nearby players for 8 seconds, granting a 20% movement speed bonus and threat vision. The passive ability now displays a red trail near fresh enemy clues for traversal and eliminations, while white ravens can now be activated remotely and fly up to 400 meters.

Loba also receives buffs, featuring a tactical equip time reduced from 0.6s to 0.4s, roughly 15% increased projectile range, 30% faster travel time, and an ultimate cooldown reduced to 120 seconds. The Level 3 upgrade Brand New Bag now grants purple bags instead of gold bags.

Energy Weapon Systems and Loot Overhaul

Energy ammo boxes have been removed entirely from the loot pool. Energy weapons such as the Havoc, Devotion, L-Star, Nemesis, RE-45, Volt, and Triple Take now operate on a regenerating stockpile system similar to the Bocek or care package weapons, regenerating a magazine's worth of ammo over 18 seconds while not firing or reloading.

High-tier loot spawn rates have been reduced across all maps. Gold-tier attachments, gold backpacks, mythic bins, gold bins, and hot-zones have been removed. Arsenals are now time-matched to Evo Harvesters, remaining disabled at match start.

Five new Corrupted Attachments introduce high-tier choices with distinct stat trade-offs, restricted to one per weapon. These include the Overflowing Magazine, Headseeker Barrel, Tactical Laser, Agile Standard Stock, and Rapid Sniper Stock.

World's Edge Map Rework and Rotations

World's Edge receives competitive updates, including the return of Sorting Factory and Construction Stacks at Fragment West, Tree Settlement replacing The Tree, War Camp replacing Survey Camp, and East Village receiving terrain modifications and additional ziplines.

For the first week of the season, map rotations feature World's Edge exclusively for the first 24 hours in both ranked and public matches, followed by a 48-hour World's Edge block from August 8 to August 9 for ranked play.

UI Updates and Matchmaking

Players can now examine weapon and attachment performance details through a new Playground tab in the Legend Locker or via detailed loot cards in inventory and world views. Additionally, players can now opt in to volunteer as Jumpmaster during the character select screen.
