No Man's Sky has changed an awful lot in the 10 years since its launch. Blimey, Hello Games sure are building up No Man's Sky into a game that just has a bit of everything aren't they? The Swarm Update has warped in.

It's hard to think that No Man's Sky is nearly ten years old. I remember being there in the glorious summer of 2016. Pokémon GO was all the rage, but I was even more excited for Hello Games' space game to drop. As we know, it was an underwhelming launch, and so would begin one of the best comeback stories in modern gaming. No longer the bland, isolated experience of yesteryear, No Man's Sky is now one of the genre's heaviest hitters. What better way is there to celebrate that than by pulling us all together and having us face off against a giant drone armada?

It's the Death Star! Well, sort of. It's a big robo-eye invading the galaxy with a swarm of killer drones, as <a href="https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/no-mans-sky">No Man's Sky</a> goes a bit <a href="https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/helldivers-2">Helldivers 2</a>-ish in its latest update. No Man's Sky is steadily turning into the everything game isn't it? Hello Games have released another big upgrade for it recently adding creature battling.

You can't really go wrong with creature collecting. Give me a colorful world with cute critters to capture and pit against one another and my wallet is yours.

Ooh, it hasn't got a Pokemon-style mode that lets you collect a bunch of alien critters and force them to fight to the death in a fashion that might be deemed barbaric if it wasn't so bloodless and cutesy. That would've likely been my answer if you'd asked me what ever-growing <a href="https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/no-mans-sky">No Man's Sky</a> doesn't have at this point before I read about its latest update.
