Preview: Season 2 Territory War Rule Adjustments
Read captured notes
Greetings, Warlords! The flames of war reignite as the Conquest begins. The Season 2 Territory War is about to unfold. Before the new season officially launches, we want to talk about the upcoming rule adjustments for Territory War.During Season 1, our most common feedback was that the power dynamics on some servers became set in stone by mid-season, leaving fewer and fewer targets to fight for, and sometimes no cities to attack at all. So this time, we focused on making the war more logical and ensuring a stronger sense of progression. In the new season's Territory War, territorial borders will truly dictate your attack range. Decisions like where to attack, when to strike, and how to advance will once again require careful strategic consideration.New Rules Quick Glance:Here are the detailed explanations of the new Territory War rules for Season 2 \:Clan:To open a battleline against any City or Pass (excluding Villages), you must first declare war and become the Commander's Clan.Clans can only declare war on Cities or Passes adjacent to those occupied by their own Clan or their Alliance.Fiefs surrounding the three starting Cities (Xinye, Xiaopei, and Changshan) are treated as permanently adjacent, meaning war can be declared on them at any time.Villages allow battlelines to be opened without a war declaration and are exempt from City declaration rules. In this case, post-war ownership is determined by the battle contribution ranking.Upon successfully capturing a City or Pass, the Commander's Clan will become the new occupant. If you choose to declare war to attack a Village, the adjacent fief requirement still applies. For adjacency relationships between Cities, refer to the image below (in-game, open \, and activate the \ button on the bottom left).*The final in-game version dictates the actual adjacency relationships between Cities. In short:Your territory dictates your reach. To conquer a distant City, you must first clear a path to it. Cities held by your Alliance also count toward this adjacency range, requiring coordinated progression across the entire Alliance. To attack any City or Pass, you must first declare war, which costs Clan Prestige. Deciding who will act as the Commander's Clan becomes a new strategic choice. Due to Prestige costs, the number of simultaneous battlelines an Alliance can maintain is limited. How to select targets, prioritize orders, and calculate risks versus rewards will become vital questions for every Warlord to weigh. For example:A Clan occupies Pingyang. Assuming they meet the Clan war declaration level and Prestige requirements:Tong Pass, a City adjacent to Pingyang, can be targeted for a war declaration.Another Clan in the same Alliance occupies the City of Shangdang. Luoyang, which is adjacent to Shangdang, can also be targeted.Hangu Pass is highly valuable, but there is no cleared marching route between it and the territory held by the Clan or Alliance. It cannot be directly targeted for a war declaration; intermediate fiefs must be secured first. Why make exceptions for Villages and fiefs around starting Cities:This adjacency restriction is unforgiving for Clans that do not yet hold a City. Therefore, we provided two entry points: battlelines can be opened at Villages without a war declaration, and Cities around the three starting Cities can always be targeted. Establishing a foothold in a Village or expanding outwards from a starting City to join the normal progression pace—we want this path to remain open for all Clans.Warlords:Warlords cannot declare war, nor can they actively open battlelines on non-rally target fiefs (except Villages). The system will automatically initiate a War Rally. Upon a successful rally, the corresponding Warlords Cohort will gain permission to open a battleline at the rally target fief.War Rally targets will always be Cities or Passes adjacent to those occupied by the Warlords faction.War Rallies trigger once every half hour, totaling three times per Territory War round.Warlords players can open battlelines at Villages without a war declaration. To ensure Warlords are not restricted to passive defense, we provided them with scheduled, system-coordinated offensive opportunities: the War Rally. Cities meeting the attack conditions will automatically become rally targets. Consequently, Warlords will act as a proactive, advancing force. Contesting Village ownership with Clans and ensuring the successful completion of a rally in a specific direction will become the core strategic focal points for the Warlords faction's offense and defense.UI Optimizations:A new marching route status indicator will be added below the fief information:"Marching Route: Cleared" is displayed when the fief borders a region occupied by your Alliance."Marching Route: Blocked" is displayed when it does not border your Alliance's territory (Villages do not display this information). When war declaration conditions are unmet, the system will automatically prompt the required conditions (e.g., "Must occupy any of the following fiefs to declare war").From "Attack at Will" to "Think Before You Strike"We hope that in Season 2, Territory War outcomes will no longer simply be decided by numbers. Every advance should have a clear goal; every war declaration should carry a corresponding cost; every battle should influence the next choice. The battlefield has been laid out anew.Inch by inch, step by step; city by city, clash by clash. The horns atop the walls are about to sound. Join us in \, Warlords!

The respawning of Defending NPC Units will be processed based on this formation structure. Following this adjustment, Defending NPCs will no longer relentlessly harass the attackers squad by squad, but will instead offer clustered reinforcements as a unified formation.Defending NPCs of the Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shu, Tao Qian, Liu Biao, and Gongsun Zan factions will have shorter respawn times compared to those of the Clan and Warlords factions.6. Armory OptimizationsAdded the Tempering feature for equipment:If a Tempering attempt yields Rare or Epic quality, the probability of obtaining Legendary quality on the subsequent Tempering attempt will progressively increase.Upon completing Tempering, you can choose to retain the original equipment or replace it with the new one. Conqueror's Blade: Three Kingdoms Version 1.1 Update Developer Log
Read captured notes
Dear Warlords,Today marks the official release of Version 1. 1 for Conqueror's Blade: Three Kingdoms. But before we dive into the update details, we want to start by saying: We are sorry. Since our launch on July 24, issues like server delays, freezing in the Stargazing system and the Open World, and Pursuit being restricted exactly to 1v1 have prevented many eager Warlords from truly immersing themselves in the Three Kingdoms world. Instead of the epic wars we promised, you were met with a very frustrating and clunky experience right out of the gate. The root cause of these issues is that we didn't polish our systems enough to meet our own standards. To every Warlord who stepped into this Three Kingdoms world, we owe you a sincere apology. We are reading and listening to every single one carefully, including your passionate criticisms. Below, we'll address these core concerns one by one. What Are We Trying to Build? We want to bring you a brand-new sandbox world of Three Kingdoms warfare. This is an entirely different experience from the matchmaking-based siege battles in the base Conqueror's Blade game. The outcome of a war is never decided solely by frontline combat — it involves food, transport, Kits, command, coordination, strategy, and much more. Some gather resources and transport supplies in the rear, some scout in stealth and harass enemy lines, some oversee the grand strategy and command the battlefield, while others lead the charge, fighting on the bloody front lines. Every role matters, and every effort shapes the course of the war. This is the "Conqueror's Blade: Three Kingdoms" we envision. How Far Are We from That Goal? We know that the current version is still far from what we envisioned. A dynamic, rich, well-divided sandbox war where everyone can participate and find their place is not a destination we can reach in a single update. It requires long-term optimization and polish, and more importantly, it requires co-creation with you, our Warlords. Your feedback over the past few weeks has been incredibly helpful. Here is our roadmap for addressing the issues you care about most. Season Reset RulesFirst, let's talk about the highly discussed season reset rules. Our core goal for the seasonal model is to ensure that the early-game progression, mid-game development, and late-game decisive battles are enjoyable every season. We will adjust the season rules, including what is kept and what is reset, based on this goal. However, season resets directly affect the time, resources, and emotions you invest. Therefore, this \, we will release an in-game questionnaire regarding the season reset rules. We will list some of our considered plans for you to vote on and provide supplemental feedback. Within \ after the questionnaire closes, we will make a final decision based on the results and explain our reasoning—including why certain suggestions weren't adopted. Until the final plan is confirmed and announced, there will be no sudden changes to the season reset rules. Please feel free to continue planning your progression at your own pace. Faction War IssuesNext, regarding the core Faction War gameplay. In Conqueror's Blade: Three Kingdoms, to better fit the historical context, we increased the Clan member limits, but we vastly underestimated players' enthusiasm to join Cao Cao. More critically, a bug caused the Guanzhong region to open prematurely, resulting in Cao Cao's faction gaining an overwhelming advantage across multiple servers. This severely compressed the survival space for other Factions and Clans, greatly impacting the gaming experience for many players. In this Wednesday's Faction War, we disabled the reinforcement feature for Warlord Factions. In upcoming versions, we will gradually introduce new renowned Warlord Factions, bringing the true star-studded cast of the Three Kingdoms to the game so every Warlord can find a banner they are willing to fight for. However, since the Faction system is the core charm of a Three Kingdoms game, some adjustment directions need to be decided together with you. We will soon issue an in-game questionnaire regarding Faction Wars. We will make targeted fixes and optimizations based on your feedback and implement them collectively in next week's update. Besides this, we are continuously monitoring the Faction War ecosystem and enriching its gameplay. We have introduced supply rules: both attackers and defenders can build Granaries and invest food to maintain the frontline. We also added a construction feature allowing you to build facilities at specific building points in Fiefs and main camps. Enriching Daily Gameplay"Besides gathering, Bandit Raids, and Rebel Purges, there's nothing to do in the Open World. In this update, we are introducing a feature where gathering attempts recover daily. Previously, once your weekly gathering limit was exhausted, a whole chain of activities—quests, Kit crafting, Unit unlocks—would be blocked, leaving dedicated gatherers with nothing to do. We hope this update somewhat alleviates that issue. Upcoming versions will gradually release:Dynamic Open-World Events — Making the map feel "alive" rather than just a place for Resource Sites to respawn. Diverse Faction Confrontation Modes — Extending conflicts from fixed battlefields to the entire Three Kingdoms world. We will thoroughly test and polish these contents internally, hoping to deliver a great gaming experience as soon as they go live. Other Core Issues of ConcernResource Production and ConsumptionIn Conqueror's Blade: Three Kingdoms, we tried to build a system that maintains "resources with lasting value and meaningful decisions in Unit and Kit loadouts," but we pushed it too far. When even the most basic Open World PVE constantly consumes equipment and Kits, while the rewards fail to cover the costs, resources become nearly impossible to effectively accumulate. The sense of progression for equipment and Units disappears, rendering strategic decision-making impossible. Therefore, in upcoming versions, we will roll out gradual updates to establish a clear accumulation curve:Stronger "Safety Net": Ensure more stable acquisition of basic equipment pieces. Unit "Tiering": Reduce the cost of assembling 3-Star Units and certain 4-Star Units to make the process of accumulating 4-Star Units smoother. Better Equipment Durability: Increase the maximum durability of high-quality equipment. PursuitMany players reported that the cost for the initiator of a Pursuit is too low, yet the rewards after a successful attack are quite substantial. Costless initiations combined with high-reward, low-risk outcomes lead to the abuse of the Pursuit feature. Addressing this, we want to return Pursuit to a tactical choice with real costs, rather than just malicious PK (Player Killing). Additionally, after completing certain actions—like gathering, leaving Fiefs, or finishing random encounters—Warlords will receive Pursuit protection for a specific duration. Equipment Drops and LootingIn Conqueror's Blade: Three Kingdoms, we added a mechanism where killing enemy units during a stage has a chance to drop equipment and Kits. However, because looting currently relies precisely on your click speed, it has resulted in a lot of negative experiences. We plan to adjust this in the following directions:Kit and material drops will become personal loot instead of team loot, so you no longer have to mash the "F" key to compete for materials and Kits. Hero equipment drops will adopt a traditional roll system; the player with the highest roll will win the item. It's time to test your true luck! TradingFor Conqueror's Blade: Three Kingdoms, the trading system is a core part of the economy. We've observed more and more players listing key outputs like equipment, resources, and Kits. This is highly beneficial to the overall game ecosystem. Warlords who prefer not to gather can acquire the supplies they need through trading, allowing them to focus on fighting bravely on the front lines. Recently, we will continuously optimize the trading experience:Settlements with trading privileges will be prominently displayed on the Map (M key). More convenient listing, delisting, and purchasing of supplies. Displaying items during their public showcase period, making prices and supply-demand more transparent. In subsequent versions, we will enable cross-server trading to allow resources to flow across servers, making the ecosystem of every server much healthier. Ultimately, we hope that every ounce of effort you put into the game translates into real value and returns. Of course, we know that beyond the issues mentioned above, there are still many systems that need polishing and many problems left to solve. We ask that you give us a little more time. We are always listening to your voices attentively, and we promise to fix and optimize things every day, step by step, striving to deliver the Three Kingdoms warfare experience you have been waiting for. The directional adjustments mentioned above will be rolled out gradually over the coming weeks. For this week, we have prioritized the following updates:Version Update DetailsI.
