Apex Legends: Latest Update - 10/01/2026

Read captured notes

Hello! We just pushed an update for the following:✅ FIXED:ALTERUnreliable tac and ult usage near large moving structures🛠️ ADJUSTED:AXLEPassive:Sliding lateral control nerfed by 50% (making it harder to maintain slide momentum while tightly cornering)Tactical:Sliding lateral control nerfed by 25% for Nitro Gate usersAim assist is disabled for players under the effect of the Nitro GateNerfed Nitro Gate initial push speed to 650 from 700Ultimate:If the Kickstart drone locks on immediately after being deployed, the resulting knock-up is significantly decreasedNerfed max knock-up magnitude to 650 from 700Nerfed max drone chase time to 8s from 10s (meaning it'll give-up on an active chase 2s sooner)WILDCARD: We are continuing to track community feedback regarding Apex KO and are making a few additional tuning changes to address player painpoints.Reduced Fighter's Defense from 55% damage reduction to 50%Dev Note : We're still seeing that fighters are difficult to take down in a 1v1 Gun vs Fighter combat situation. This change will give players using guns a bit more damage when encountering a charging fighter. We'll continue to keep an eye on fighter combat performance.Reduced the max number of Ult charges for Ryu, Chun-Li and Dhalsim from 3 to 2Dev Note : We've been seeing situations where fighters are able to cast multiple Ultimate abilities in a row to completely decimate enemy teams without reasonable time for those teams to respond. Without changing the rate at which Fighters accumulate their Ultimate meter or their damage output, we've reduced the total number of stored ultimate for these fighters by 1.Enabled passive Fight Gauge regen when not in Fighter Form and below 1 pip of Fight GaugeDev Note : We've observed potential droughts of Fight Gauge Tokens mid-match as K.O. Trucks are destroyed. To counter this, we're enabling a passive regen on your Fight Gauge. The goal here is to allow players to access Fighter Form more often and be prepared for their next encounter.

An Update from the Anti Cheat Team - 10/01/2026

Competitive Integrity Update - Ballistic Exploit CrashOur Anti-Cheat team recently identified an exploit being used to disrupt matches by intentionally crashing game servers. After thoroughly investigating the suspected perpetrator, we have delivered a permanent account ban, and implemented a fix to the exploit. While investigating a suspected player who appeared to be repeatedly causing lobbies to crash, we identified an exploit involving Ballistic’s Sling passive. The exploit used a modified game client to duplicate a weapon optic far beyond its intended limits. Generating enough duplicated items placed an excessive load on the server, causing the match to become unresponsive and ultimately crash for everyone in the lobby. The player would then reconnect to the match after the crash and attempt to take advantage of other players being disconnected.Once identified, we worked to understand the behavior, confirm the cause, and put a fix in place to prevent this exploit from being used to disrupt matches again. We permanently banned the suspected user and are actioning all accounts found to be using this exploit. We take intentional match disruption seriously. Exploiting vulnerabilities to crash lobbies and interfere with other players' ability to play is unacceptable, and we will continue to investigate reports of this type of behavior and take action when we can confirm abuse.Thank you to everyone who reported suspicious lobby crashes and provided information that helped us investigate this issue. Fair play is for everyone.

As a reminder, you should expect slightly longer queue times for either mode, with the higher skilled lobbies being most impacted. The highest successful queue times we're seeing is around 2.5-3.5 minutes. Know before you go!

Apex Legends: Latest Updates - 09/24/2026

In response to community feedback, we're making a couple of adjustments to the Street Fighter 6 collab Wildcard event. 🛠️ADJUSTED:- Blocking with drain Fighter Gauge more quickly. Dev note: Some feedback suggested that the Block mechanic felt overtuned and made shooting feel useless, noting that Apex is a shooter, first. This change will allow you to more reliably break a player out of blocking after doing enough damage.) - Fighter Mode will no longer be extended by doing damage while in Fighter Mode. Dev note: We've seen instances of players staying in Fighter Mode for tremendously long periods of time, which leads to a feeling like the entire lobby is in Fighter mode for the entire match. - Core Wildcard is returning alongside Apex K.O. Dev note: We see this feedback from the community often whenever we do Wildcard events. While there potential complications by allowing two instances of Wildcard to exist simultaneously, we feel this approach will be most beneficial to players when the Event varies too far from the Wildcard design ethos. We will continue to closely monitor match data and community feedback.

An Update from the Anti Cheat Team - 09/18/2026

Competitive Integrity Update — Account SharingWe’ve taken action against players who were found to be sharing their accounts across multiple devices to gain an unfair advantage on the Apex Predator leaderboard. Following reports from the community of Predator players maintaining unusually long, continuous Ranked play sessions, our Anti-Cheat team reviewed login activity and device data associated with high-ranked accounts. This investigation identified accounts being accessed from multiple distinct devices in a manner consistent with account sharing, specifically targeting console users. As a result, we have handed 258 Predator players 60-day suspensions across PlayStation and Xbox. Enforcement BreakdownPlayStation — 115 players92 players were found to be frequently sharing their accounts2 players were found to be sharing their accounts across 5+ devices21 players frequently shared & shared with 5+devicesXbox — 143 players124 players were found to be frequently sharing their accounts2 players were found to be sharing their accounts across 5+ devices17 players frequently shared & shared with 5+devicesAccount sharing is prohibited under our Terms of Service and undermines the integrity of Ranked play. Accounts found to be participating in account sharing will be suspended, and all associated Ranked points will be removed. We’ll continue monitoring Ranked play and taking action against accounts that attempt to gain an unfair advantage through account sharing or other forms of abuse. Ranked integrity matters, and the Predator leaderboard should reflect the players who actually earned their position. Bot Royale False Ban ReportsWe’ve also seen reports from the community claiming that recent enforcement actions were the result of players being incorrectly banned while playing Bot Royale. Our review confirmed that the bans were valid and that these accounts were correctly actioned. We take reports of potential false bans seriously and will continue to review credible cases brought to our attention.

Apex Legends™: Marked Midseason Patch Notes

Read captured notes

INTROWelcome back to Split 2 of Apex Legends: Marked. To start the second half of the season, we’ve got Legend balancing changes, some adjustment to loot availability (including more healing items), buffs to a trio of long range weapons, and the usual array of tweaks, fixes and adjustments. Split 2 starts on September 15th, so assemble your squad and get ready to jump back into Marked!ANTI CHEAT UPDATEIn the leadup to Split 2, we implemented significant, new systems to detect players using unauthorized controller hardware or software in Apex Legends on all platforms including: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2.Prior to implementation, we spent several months thoroughly validating these systems to ensure they can accurately identify prohibited behavior. Players that trigger these detections will be actioned upon and may be banned accordingly upon review. Playing on console does not make you exempt from detection or enforcement. This is just the beginning for these new systems which we will continue to improve to keep pace with evolving cheating methods. We want the community to know that we are actively working to identify and remove cheaters at every level of play — including the highest ranks. Thank you to everyone who reports suspicious behavior and helps us keep Apex Legends fair. For more anti-cheat information, check out our most recent update!PATCH NOTESLEGEND BUFFSConduitDev note: Our main goal is to give Conduit players more avenues for skill expression and to ensure her abilities feel functional, readable, and fluid. Apex’s Shield Healer saw a big uptick in her success throughout Season 29 thanks to some overhauls to her Tactical and its associated upgrades. Despite Conduit receiving a few nerfs since then, we still wanted to come back to her this Season to focus on polishing and refining her Ultimate, as mentioned in the Season 29 Designer’s Notes. Beyond her base kit, we wanted to give Conduit two brand new Level 2 Upgrades that are now fully unique to her and emphasize different aspects of her aggressive support style.TacticalAdded preview visuals on the shield bar to indicate how much Temp Shield will be generated by the end of the regen period.UltimateVarious aspects of the Ultimate’s deployment have been smoothed out, meaning it fires faster and gets you back to guns sooner. Can now toggle orientation while targeting to deploy jammers in a forward line.Added a new HUD element to better inform players if their deployment location will cause jammers to break. Also, individual jammer indicators now turn red if they would break at the current targeting location.Jammers now spawn higher and slightly closer together, creating a tighter formation that covers more vertical space.Jammers activate significantly faster, establishing the barricade’s threat area quicker.UpgradesBoth Level 2 Upgrades, Battpack and Bigger Jam, have been removed.NEW: Concurrency (Level 2)Refire Energy Barricade once with no cooldown within 10s of initial firing.Jammers spawn in a tighter formation with 2 less jammers.NEW: Jammed Up (Level 2)Energy Barricade’s jammers have a 25% larger radius and enemies damaged by them have their HUD jammed for 10s.FuseDev note: Though this grenadier has seen a gradual increase in play over time since his rework in Season 28, we wanted to revisit him to address the community feedback that we didn’t hit the efficacy, impact, and responsiveness expected of a new Motherlode. We’re also making some big shakeups to his Upgrade configuration that impact the rest of his kit, including incorporating Wreckless and Knuckle Cluster into his base kit (with some nerfs). Rest assured, we’ll be keeping a close eye on him, as our intention is to add more hype tech to Fuse’s toolbox without pushing him toward being a Legend defined by his movement. He will always be Apex’s explosives expert first and foremost!PassiveAdded 25% Explosive Damage Resistance at base and can see ordinances highlighted in the world within 30m of him.TacticalFuse can now Knuckle Jump at base.Jumping no longer provides Tactical cooldown reduction.Jump power moderately decreased, so Fuse will gain less momentum when jumping. Now displays a visual indicator that signifies the radius where the jump can be activated.Significantly decreased the time it takes to return to guns after firing.Players can now ADS while aiming to zoom.UltimateSlightly decreased the raise time.Adjusted the firing arc with the focus on the main explosive projectile landing more quickly and responsively.Added an indicator to visualize the radius of the initial and subsequent explosions.Decreased the time it takes for the mini-bombs to explode, speeding up the rollout of explosions.Decreased the damage falloff on the initial explosion, meaning enemies closer to the edge of the radius will take a higher percentage of the maximum damage.UpgradesKnuckle Jumper (Level 2) and Wreckless (Level 3) have been removed.Reignition has been moved from Level 3 to Level 2.Pyro Techniques (Level 2)Doubled the radius of the persistent flames.Reignition (Level 2)Decreased Ultimate Recharge Rate from 1s per 2 explosive damage to 1s per 3 explosive damage.NEW: Big Bang (Level 3)Knuckle Cluster’s explosions cover a 50% larger area.NEW: Sticky Bomb (Level 3)Knuckle Cluster’s initial projectile is 25% larger and sticks to enemies. Every 7 hits on an enemy reduces Knuckle Cluster’s cooldown by 1s.CatalystDev note: Catalyst saw a small boost in pick rate after her buffs in Season 28, but we felt she needed more love using a slightly different approach since her stats didn’t hold. This Season, we’re focusing more holistically on smoothing out the tension of moving from base to base amongst the fast pace of action. We want Cat’s building experience to be fun and flexible, so giving her more options to customize her space and adding in some longtime community-requested quality-of-life features will empower players to feel rewarded for putting in the work to master her. We’re also making big swings on shuffling up her upgrades, including a new Level 3 upgrade, Ferro-Frenzy, that will really shake up how we see players approach their setup.PassiveCatalyst is no longer immune to other Catalysts’ abilities.TacticalNow automatically reinforces or rebuilds doors if colliding with a valid door or doorway on placement.Decreased Cooldown from 20s to 15s.Increased Spike Height, meaning that players can less easily jump over them. Hitting enemies with the projectile will now deal damage to them.UltimateSignificantly decreased firing time, making it smoother to deploy and raise the wall.Allies are no longer slowed or blinded when passing through the wall.UpgradesSole Piercer (Level 2) has been removed.Hidden Spikes has been moved from Level 2 to Level 3.Resilient Veil and Ferro-Door have been moved from Level 3 to Level 2.Ferro-Door (Level 2)Now also increases max reinforced doors from 4 to 6.Resilient Veil (Level 2)Now also decreases Ultimate Cooldown from 150s to 120s.NEW: Ferro-Frenzy (Level 3)Your max Spike count is increased by 1. Spikes are 50% smaller, but deal faster tick damage.BloodhoundDev note: Bloodhound got some significant changes for this season but they haven’t been as impactful on their pick and encounter win rates as we hoped. With these updates we’re hoping to add some improvements to their Ultimate and Tactical. We’ll continue to monitor Bloodhound’s performance and adjust if needed. From 8/25 Hotfix:UltimateReduced cloak visibility while in dome.Ring damage no longer drops cloak.TacticalAdded 1 extra second on scan length.Tweaked to provide more frequent snapshots, but the snapshots fade over time. New:TacticalSonar snapshots begin fading more quickly.Sonar snapshots should disappear more readily when seeing the head of either the snapshot or the player being tracked.Back to TopLEGEND NERFSAxleDev note: For an ability with a short cooldown that can have a devastating effect on one target, the Kickstart drone needs more counterplay options. Even when the victim decides to destroy the drone, the high health pool often makes that hard to do, especially in close quarters when Axle is quickly following up, herself. For cases when destroying it isn’t an option, at least the victim should be able to have more agency about where they get displaced with the knockback nerf and decreased stun. From 8/25 Hotfix:TacticalNitro Gate launch speed reduced from 750 to 700.UltimateUltimate HP reduced from 200 to 150.Base Ultimate cooldown increased from 90s to 120s.Ultimate knockback arc widened and max height reduced.Ultimate stun duration reduced from 1.5s to 0.25s.UpgradesJump Gate replaced with a new Drone Deployer Upgrade that brings the Ult cooldown back down to 90s.SeerDev note: The turn slow punishment on the Seer tactical was very frustrating to fight against. We’ve decided to remove the turn slow since the tactical output is still strong without it.From 8/25 Hotfix:Removed turn slow when hit by the Tactical Back to TopLOOT & ATTACHMENTSLOOT SPAWNINGDev Note: Last season, we made a huge change to loot distribution and spawning (read our retrospective in this update’s designer’s notes!). After reviewing the data and feedback from the community, we are making some minor adjustments to healing, ammo, and weapon availability. Healing was becoming scarcer than intended, and due to the removal of energy ammo, the other ammo types were spawning ammo boxes at higher rates than intended.Bin Resets have been adjusted to be closer to its pre-Season 30 version but keeps the original intent of reducing its overall spike to player power. The Season 30 version was not providing the density of necessities needed to quickly re-stock for the end game. Reset Bins now have more items on average with healing, ammo, survival slot items, and amps spawning more frequently inside. The Weapon Assist feature previously only included a small selection of pistols, shotguns and the Alternator. To help players find higher quality weapons off the drop, we are expanding this to now include all available weapons. These adjustments help to address some of the pain points we have been seeing while maintaining the overall goal of last update’s changes of creating an overall healthier loot curve as the game progresses. We will continue to monitor your feedback and make adjustments as quickly as we can!Loot Pool Spawn Rates (Pre-Bin Reset)Increased availability of healing items.Slightly decreased availability of ammo.Loot Bin ResetIncreased average count of items spawned per binIncreased availability of:HealingAmmoSurvival Slot itemsAmpsLoot Bin LogicUpdated loot bin logic to significantly reduce the possibility of empty loot bins spawning in game. The weapon pool for Weapon Assist (opening your first loot bin of the match while having no weapons in your inventory) now has the chance to spawn all base weapons.Previously could only spawn a selection of pistols, shotguns, and the Alternator.WEAPONSDev Note: Season 30 was a large shakeup to the weapon meta and we want to let things settle a bit more before making any big changes. We are buffing a few weapons that were previously falling behind and have continued to fall after Season 30.Triple TakeIncreased rate of fire while in ADS.Blue magazine increased from 8 to 9.Bocek Compound BowIncreased arrow stockpile from 40 to 60.Increased explosive arrows per energize from 7 to 10.Adjusted Sparrow’s Quiver accordingly:Increased arrow stockpile from 50 to 70.Increased explosive arrows per energize from 9 to 12.Charge RifleIncreased max distance damage from 99 to 110.Max damage occurs at >200m.Decreased selectfire damage penalty from 40% to 25%.ATTACHMENTSDev Note: Mach 1 Gibby was really funny, but unintentional. Now, both he and Maggie should move as intended with their respective movement speed buffs and the Agile Standard Stock.(Previously Hotfixed) Agile Standard Stock \The movement speed increase no longer stacks with:Maggie's Warlord's Ire passiv

We are implementing significant, new systems to detect players using unauthorized controller hardware or software in Apex Legends on all platforms including: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2.We’ve spent the past several months thoroughly validating these systems to ensure they can accurately identify prohibited behavior.Players that trigger these detections will be actioned upon and banned accordingly. If you are using controller modifications, devices, or software to gain an unfair advantage, now is the time to stop. Playing on console does not make you exempt from detection or enforcement. This is just the beginning of these new systems which we will continue to improve to keep pace with evolving cheating methods.Additionally, we’ve continued to update and strengthen our existing anti-cheat systems this season, with new detections and enforcement targeting a range of cheating methods, including a pesky new cheat provider. In our latest ban wave, over the past 7 days alone (at the time of writing this): • 8,609 players were banned for cheating • 290 DMA-related bans • 76 Titan Controller bans • 267 bans tied to a newly detected cheat providerOver the past two weeks: • 96 Predator-level players banned across all platformsWe continue to see improvements in our match infection rate. It has decreased to 3.9% down from 5.7% at the beginning of the season. These numbers represent only a snapshot of our ongoing enforcement efforts. Our Anti-Cheat team continues to develop, test, and deploy new detections while improving our ability to identify emerging threats. We want the community to know that we are actively working to identify and remove cheaters at every level of play — including the highest ranks. Apex Legends™: Marked Patch Notes

Read captured notes

INTROWelcome to the latest season of Apex Legends: MARKED. In addition to Bloodhound’s rework, buffs to Loba and Rampart, an energy weapon systems overhaul, and brand new Corrupted Attachments, we’re also bringing you a World’s Edge map rework, quality of life tweaks, and a slew of balancing changes. All of this is in pursuit of evolving Apex Legends into the best, most competitive Battle Royale out there. This season is going to push you and your squad to be the best you can possibly be, so get ready to group up, gear up, and dive into MARKED when it drops on August 4th, 2026!MATCHMAKING TESTSIn Season 29, we ran two matchmaking tests — 1-Tier Premade Restrictions and Diamond+ Solo-Queue-Only — to experiment with variables to potentially use to address player frustrations in Ranked. Thank you to everyone who engaged with the tests and for the feedback you provided; it’s integral to helping us shape the future of the game mode. We are actively analyzing and evaluating the data from these tests, and are in the process of writing an upcoming blog to discuss the results and next steps. Keep an eye out for the followup comms in the coming weeks.SERVER STABILITYWe've beefed up our servers in Season 30. While not everyone will notice the difference, many players should experience increased stability, less lag, and lower chances of slo-mo servers across all game modes and regions. We're always working to improve the competitive experience for our players and, while these changes often take place behind the scenes, we’re excited to provide a noteworthy improvement for you all!GAME UPDATESWorld’s EdgeDev Note: We feel World’s Edge is in a solid place competitively, and have seen the sentiments echoed throughout the community, so our focus in updating the map was reducing disparity between POIs and delivering on players’ frequently requested changes, such as the return of Sorting Factory and Construction Stacks. To complement Bloodhound’s rework, we leveraged the new POIs in this update to move Bloodhound’s story forward in a meaningful way.East VillageEast Village: Added additional rock and tree cover in open areas around the POIEast Village: Modified the terrain at the base of the Dam for less punishing traversalEast Village: Added additional ziplines to access the Dam rotating from East Village (previously Climatizer)Tree Settlement replaces The TreeWar Camp replaces Survey CampSorting FactorySorting Factory: Added a central connection to the train tunnel to keep this rotation from Lava SiphonSorting Factory: Modified platforms to keep Lava Siphon's bridge leading to Fragment EastSorting Factory: Added a new tunnel and vertical zipline connection to enter the POI from the southwest near Tree SettlementSorting Factory: Added new platforms and ziplines around each train tunnel exit for smoother traversalSorting Factory: Added new train cars on the tracks in the station buildingUpdated Monument/FragmentMonument/Fragment: Restored the stacks/construction building at Fragment West to spread out combat at FragmentUpdated LandslideLandslide: Merged Big Maude with Landslide to improve viability as a landing locationStacks/Lava City: Restored the original camp that existed before Big Maude and placed additional cover nearbyStacks/Lava City: Placed additional platforms and buildings around the outskirts of the POI to improve rotations and endgamesCountdown: Improved quality of loot in the underground vaultHarvester: Adjusted collision on the angled rooftops of the long modular buildings to prevent slippingFixed a large amount of bugs, rat spots and navigational issuesMap RotationsDev Note: To maximize the spotlight on the World’s Edge glow up, and to give you an opportunity to better familiarize yourself with the changes, we are modifying the map rotations within the first week of the season, after which it will return to the map rotation listed below.Tuesday August 4thRanked: World’s Edge for 24 hours, then back to normal 4.5 hour rotationPubs: World’s Edge for 24 hours, then back to normal 90 minutes rotationSaturday August 8th - Sunday August 9thRanked: World’s Edge for 48 hours, then back to normal 4.5 hour rotationPubs: No change, normal 90 minutes rotationPubs & RankedWorld’s EdgeStorm PointE-DistrictMixtape 8/4/26 - 9/15/26TDM: Fragment East, Skull Town, Monument, EstatesControl: Caustic, Labs, Barometer, LabsGun Run: Monument, Estates, Fragment, Skull TownWildcard8/4/26 - 9/15/26Kings Canyon WildcardE-District Wildcard Divided Moon Wildcard Revamped Power JourneyDev note: Over the lifetime of Apex, Looting has changed substantially. A rising problem we wanted to address with these changes was the loot inflation and ease that players have around finding very high quality loot. In many cases, progressing through a match could feel like a quick spike at the beginning or mid point of the match and quite flat afterwards. We’ve overhauled several systems that were added over the past few years to shape a more engaging and straightforward loot chase for players. The spawn rates of high tier loot have been reduced across all maps, meaning that finding a rare Attachment will be a ‘rarer’ occurrence, and will signal a real shift in the power of your weapon.Arsenals provide a consistent way to get the guns you want, but can disrupt the game start by luring players into hot drop contests in the open spaces around Arsenals. Arsenals are now time locked, similar to EVO Harvesters. This ensures that they are available early game when you want them, but that your earliest fights off the drop are supplied only by what you can loot from the map. Unique loot sources such as Wildlife, Vaults, MRVNs, Ticks, and Rollers are still present but provide reduced quality of loot.TL;DR: Spawn rate of high tier loot has been reduced across all maps, which should shape a clearer and more cohesive looting experience.WorldPurple attachment spawn rate reduced across all game systemsOverall attachment spawn quantity remains the sameArsenalsArsenals are disabled at match startArsenals activate at the same time as Evo Harvesters.Minimap and In-World icons are hidden until activation.Reduced the amount of Arsenals per POIUpgrade PanelUpgrades one attachment slot by one tierProvides an Optic if the weapon is missing onePurple is now the max upgrade tierUpgrade panels reactivate after Bin Reset.Bin ResetRemoved Mythic BinsRemoved Gold BinsNo longer upgrades loot to a higher tier on resetFlyer & Prowler DeathboxesRemoved possibility of gold tier lootGold Tiered LootGold Attachments removed from the loot pool4-10x Threat Sight unaffected by this change.Gold Attachments removed from Gold WeaponsGold Backpacks removed from the loot poolHot-Zone has been removedSupport and Assault Legend Perk BinsRemoved Extended Supply BinsRemoved Weapon Supply BinsLoot RollersRemoved possibility of gold tier lootSpawn fewer attachmentsUpdated cycling rollers to cycle through white tiered loot as an optionLoot TicksSpawn fewer attachments and weaponsSpawn more consumablesMap POIsWorld’s EdgeLoot VaultsBlue attachments addedAdjusted to spawn more attachments and Amps, fewer backpacksMirage A TroisRemoved possibility of gold loot rollersReduced chance of purple loot roller spawn from starting the partyTrialsReduced overall tier of loot received from completing the trialsOlympusFight NightReduced number of loot roller spawns to 5 (was 7)Removed possibility of gold loot rollersReduced chance of purple loot roller spawnIcarus BridgeBlue attachments addedAdjusted to spawn more attachments and Amps, fewer backpacksPhase DriverRemoved possibility of gold loot rollersReduced chance of purple loot roller spawn from activating the Phase DriverMRVNsReduced MRVN spawns to 12 (was 24)Removed MRVN Arm dropsMRVNs are now single useWildlife (Prowlers & Spiders)Removed attachment smart loot from all Wildlife dropsWill now only drop healing and ammo when killed**For more information about the design approach and intention behind weapons systems and Legends changes, please read our recent Designer’s Notes.UI Stat OverhaulDev note: We are updating how Weapon Stats are shown in game to improve transparency and readability of gameplay in Apex. You can now explore with greater detail than ever the unique stats and performance characteristics of each weapon. By exposing these stats and allowing players to examine how different attachments impact weapon performance, players can make more informed choices in-game quickly. Presenting this greater information with visual refinements is part of our effort to improve Onboarding and clarity of gameplay for all players. While in Lobby:New Playground tab available via Legend Locker > WeaponsAllows for you to preview information about the weapon, what attachments can go on the weapon, and how those attachments affect that weapon’s stats.Changes here do not affect any in-game weapon behaviors. While looking at a weapon or attachment in the world or inventory:Weapon Loot Cards:The loot card now shows a detailed breakdown of a weapon’s damage, ideal range, rate of fire, firing modes and weapon specific gameplay information. When looking at a weapon to swap, the loot card now shows a quick comparison between the weapon you are holding and the weapon you would pick up.Can be disabled by changing Interact Prompt Style from Default to Compact.Attachment Loot Cards:For attachments that can be equipped onto your weapon, the loot card now shows the stat change that will occur when equipped. Can be disabled by changing Interact Prompt Style from Default to Compact.Corrupted AttachmentsDev note: Corrupted Attachments provide players with a meaningful choice when they are equipping their guns. Providing a unique blend of big buffs and negative stat trade offs will reshape a weapons performance and specialize its power. Limited to one Corrupted Attachment per weapon, players must make tactical decisions about their preferred loadouts. Need an absolute bullet hose for those close range fights? Put the Overflowing Mag on the R-99 for easier one-clips at the cost of longer reloads. Or do you want more maneuverability and speed? Put the Agile Standard Stock on the R-99 instead for increased movement speed at the cost of reduced mag size.New High Tier Attachment RarityEach Corrupted Attachment comes with a unique bonus and negative effectOnly 1 Corrupted Attachment can be equipped on a gun at a time5 New AttachmentsOverflowing MagazineImproves magazine size beyond that of a Purple MagazineReduces weapon reload speedCan be attached to any weapon that accepts a MagazineHeadseeker BarrelIncreases weapon Headshot DamageReduces Hipfire AccuracyImproves recoil at the same level as the Purple BarrelTactical LaserImproves Reload SpeedReduces ADS Recoil ControlImproves Hipfire Accuracy at the same level as the Purple Laser SightAgile Standard StockEliminates weapon move speed penaltyIncreases weapon ADS move speedReduces Magazine SizeImproves Reload Speed and Weapon Handling at the same level as the Purple Standard StockRapid Sniper StockIncreases weapon Rate of FireReduces Magazine SizeImproves Reload Speed and Weapon Handling at the same level as the Purple Sniper StockCorrupted Attachments can be found inThe core loot pool with a low spawn chanceRound 2 and 3 care packagesHigh tier loot locations (Worlds Edge Vaults, Icarus Ship Bridge, Etc.)Energy Ammo ReworkDev note: We're taking a big swing with energy weapons this season and really shaking up their ammo systems. We've removed energy ammo entirely as a lootable item. The goal of this change was to provide another way to think about your weapon loadout choice, and why you are picking one weapon over another. To lean into their unique energy identity these weapons will now come with their own regenerating ammo pool. Removing the need to hunt for extra ammo or spend valuable inventory space opens up new loadout opportunities, but keep an eye on that stockpile - once it's run dry players will have to wa
