Nintendo has released version 3.0.1 for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Switch 2 Edition. This update specifically targets technical issues and bugs identified since the release of the Switch 2 version last month.
Confirmed Changes
- Accessory Slot Fix: Corrected a bug where receiving WP as an amiibo reward in New Game Plus could reduce the number of accessory slots from three to two. If you previously re-unlocked the third slot, any expended items will be returned to you.
- Audio Balancing: Fixed an issue where sound effects and background music levels did not match the original Nintendo Switch version.
- WP Gains: Fixed a bug that caused certain Drivers to join the party with an incorrect, excessive amount of WP.
- Combat Controls: Fixed an issue where Rex could become unresponsive when switching between Pyra and Mythra during battle.
- Pouch Items: Fixed a bug where Pouch Item effects would fail to activate after swapping MOMO to a different form during combat.
These fixes apply specifically to the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Switch 2 Edition. Players should ensure their console is updated to the latest firmware to automatically receive the patch. The physical version of the Switch 2 Edition is currently scheduled to reach retail stores this October.
