Take That Hill, a turn-based strategy game focused on infantry tactics, is now available for Android devices. Developed with input from Fight Club International—a network of military, defense, and gaming industry professionals—the title aims to provide a wargaming experience that emphasizes realistic maneuver warfare over complex rulebooks.
Gameplay and Content
In Take That Hill, players command an infantry platoon consisting of three sections and a Platoon HQ. The core challenge involves navigating open terrain to assault a defended position 500 meters away. Success requires balancing fire and maneuver tactics, such as pinning enemies and advancing under cover, while managing time constraints.
The game includes the following features:
- Tactical Complexity: Mechanics include fire support, 120mm mortars, minefields, barbed wire, and hidden enemy positions.
- Low-Light Operations: Players can attempt night attacks to close in on targets unseen, at the risk of increased troop confusion.
- Paratrooper Raid Expansion: This included expansion drops players behind enemy lines to destroy a command-and-control node before dawn.
