A new threat has arrived in Resident Evil Survival Unit, and for the first time since the strategy game's November 2025 launch, it has nothing to do with Umbrella Corporation. The mobile title is officially crossing over with the Monster Hunter series, bringing wyverns into the world of Raccoon City-inspired survival.

This collaboration marks the first time Resident Evil Survival Unit has partnered with another franchise. Players can now face off against iconic Monster Hunter beasts that are tearing through the game's map, requiring players to push their existing base-building and real-time defense strategies to the limit.

⚡ Quick Facts

  • Added Features: Co-op mode and meat-grilling gameplay
  • Availability: Free-to-play on iOS and Android

New Monsters and Co-op Challenges

The crossover introduces two major threats from the Monster Hunter archives. Players will encounter the Yian Kut-Ku, a bipedal bird wyvern, and the series staple Rathalos, the fire-breathing King of the Skies. These creatures are designed to challenge the defenses of even the most seasoned survivors.

To help balance the odds, the update adds a new co-op experience. Players can now team up with survivors from across the globe to take down these massive threats together. In addition to the combat changes, the game is introducing a meat-grilling event that mirrors the classic mechanics from the Monster Hunter series. Survivors can slay monsters, gather meat, and grill it in-game to earn various rewards.

Exclusive Heroes and Cosmetics

While you can still deploy characters like Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine, this event adds new, collab-exclusive Heroes inspired by the Monster Hunter universe. These units are available to claim for free for the duration of the event. Furthermore, the collaboration features a line-up of exclusive cosmetic skins, allowing players to customize their base and on-field squads with Monster Hunter-themed designs.
