Gameplay and Performance

The brilliance of Metal Slug Rush lies in its simplicity. There is no forced tutorial; you are dropped straight into the action with a clear goal: survive as long as possible. The main menu is entirely optional, allowing you to jump into a "Mission Start" immediately. As you level up, you are presented with three randomized boons, forcing you to think strategically as the difficulty ramps up. Whether you are deploying mobile satellites or firing away with thunder clouds, the satisfaction of clearing the screen is constant.

What Needs Improvement

While the core loop is excellent, the game is not without its frustrations. The presence of a battle pass and various in-app purchases is hard to ignore.
