Xbox Game Pass Unveils September's First Wave, Featuring RuneScape: Dragonwilds and Key Departures

September's Game Pass Additions and Removals Announced

Xbox Game Pass is set to refresh its library with the first wave of September additions for PC and Xbox subscribers. While the initial lineup might appear modest, it introduces a significant new title for the RuneScape universe and several other games, alongside the departure of some notable entries.

A major highlight is the arrival of RuneScape: Dragonwilds on September 15th. This new co-op survival crafting game, distinct from the long-running RuneScape massively multiplayer online experience, marks a monumental moment as it represents the first time a RuneScape title has been available on console platforms. Dragonwilds has been in early access testing since last spring, and its Game Pass launch signifies its full 1.0 release. The medieval roguelike deck-builder The Royal Writwhich previously launched on PC, arrives on September 10th for cloud, Xbox Series X/S, handheld, and PC. Finally, Virtua Fighter 5 REVO World Stage also joins on September 10th for cloud, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Subscribers should note the impending removal of several significant games from the Game Pass library on September 15th. This includes the acclaimed open-world RPG Cyberpunk 2077 (cloud and console), the popular roguelike Dead Cells (cloud, console, and PC), and the action-packed Deep Rock Galactic Survivor (cloud, console, and PC).
