Bandai Card Games has announced that Yoshitaka Amano, the artist renowned for his work on the early Final Fantasy series, is contributing new illustrations to the One Piece Card Game. The cards will be featured in Booster Pack Vol. 18, which is set for release in November 2026.
New Art for Loki and Shamrock
The collaboration features Amano’s distinct artistic style applied to two specific characters: Loki and Shamrock. Bandai clarified that these are not crossover cards reimagining the characters as Final Fantasy figures, but rather a creative reinterpretation of the existing One Piece characters through Amano's lens.
The announcement arrived during One Piece Day '26, where the publisher also previewed several other cards for the upcoming set, including new designs for Franky and Nico Robin.
Context on Availability
The inclusion of high-profile artist work follows recent efforts by Bandai Namco to stabilize the availability of the One Piece Card Game. In response to issues with scalpers, the company has begun implementing measures such as facial recognition systems at retail locations in Japan to verify purchasers and manage supply.
While Amano previously contributed to Magic: The Gathering for that franchise's own Final Fantasy crossover cards in 2025, his work here represents a standalone artistic contribution to the One Piece TCG format.
