Microsoft has launched a limited-time promotion for players pre-ordering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Players who pre-order the game on Xbox Series X/S consoles or PC through the Xbox app or Microsoft Store are eligible to receive $5 in store credit. This credit can be utilized across the Microsoft and Xbox digital storefronts.

Eligibility and Credit Redemption

The promotion is active for pre-orders placed between May 28th and September 1st. The offer officially concludes today, September 1st, at specific regional times: 8:59 PM PST, 11:59 PM EST, and 4:59 AM BST on September 2nd. According to the terms and conditions, players who pre-ordered within this window may already qualify.

Microsoft states that eligible customers will receive a pop-up notification on their PC or Xbox within 35 days of Modern Warfare 4's launch, confirming the credit has been granted. Alternatively, players can locate the voucher under "Offers & Credits" within their profile. Once granted, the credit must be redeemed by December 15th and subsequently spent within 90 days of its redemption.

The $5 store credit offer extends to both the standard and Vault editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Notably, the Vault Edition, priced at $100, also features a 10 percent loyalty discount for eligible players, reducing its cost to $90. This loyalty discount is available to players who own and have played any of the Call of Duty titles released over the past several years.

To qualify for the loyalty discount, players must have played one of the following games on the same platform where they are pre-ordering Modern Warfare 4Modern Warfare (2019), Modern Warfare 2 Campaign RemasteredBlack Ops Cold WarVanguardModern Warfare 2 (2022), Modern Warfare 3 (2023), Black Ops 6or Black Ops 7. This includes games claimed and played via PlayStation Plus.

Release Information

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for release on October 23rd. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2. Activision confirms that Modern Warfare 4 marks the first Call of Duty title in over a decade to launch on a Nintendo platform. However, the loyalty discount is not applicable to the Switch 2 version, as the prerequisite older Call of Duty titles are not available on Nintendo platforms.
