The developers of holoVillage have released a new update for the PC version of the game, effective as of October 17, 2026. This patch focuses primarily on improving user interface clarity and providing players with more granular control over their gameplay experience. These changes are designed to reduce friction when managing inventory and crafting resources.

Key Gameplay and UI Adjustments

One of the most requested features, the ability to invert camera controls, has been implemented. Players can now adjust both horizontal and vertical camera axes to suit their personal preferences. Additionally, the developers have introduced a new indicator for recipes, making it easier for players to identify newly unlocked crafting options at a glance. To assist with inventory management, the shared item box has been officially renamed to the Villager Seed Box.

Enhanced Crafting and Equipment Management

The update also introduces significant improvements to the crafting and equipment systems. Players can now view their Item Compendium registration status directly from selection screens, allowing them to see if an item is already registered or not without leaving the menu. Furthermore, new equipment comparison tooltips have been added, which display stats against currently equipped gear to help players make informed decisions when upgrading their loadouts.

To ensure clarity during crafting and storage, the game now grays out uncraftable items on the Crafting Table and within the Villager Seed Box. This visual change helps players quickly identify which items are ineligible for specific actions, preventing confusion during resource management.

  • Camera Controls: Added horizontal and vertical inversion options.
  • Recipe Tracking: New UI indicator added for newly unlocked recipes.
  • Compendium Integration: Registration status (Registered/Not Registered) is now visible in selection screens.
  • Equipment Tooltips: Direct comparison stats provided for new gear versus currently equipped items.
  • Inventory Clarity: Uncraftable items are now grayed out on the Crafting Table and in the Villager Seed Box.

These updates are currently live for all PC players. By integrating these quality-of-life features, the development team aims to provide a more intuitive experience for both new and returning players as they manage their villages and expand their item collections.
