A new preview of Grand Theft Auto VI has confirmed that the game will feature dynamic body mechanics for its protagonists, Jason and Lucia. According to a detailed report from Dazed, the characters' physical appearance will shift based on player choices regarding diet and activity.
Character Physicality and Survival Mechanics
Players will be able to influence the physical state of the protagonists in a manner similar to San Andreas and Red Dead Redemption 2. Specifically, the game tracks the following:
- Diet: Food consumption directly impacts the characters' weight.
- Exercise: Physical activity is required to visibly build and tone muscle.
- Rest: Spending extended periods away from a bed will cause Jason and Lucia to look haggard or run-down.
While these mechanics imply a focus on character maintenance, the report suggests these systems are less invasive than those found in Red Dead Redemption 2. This confirmation arrives alongside the scheduled official extended look at the game, set to follow the recent wave of unauthorized leaks.
Availability
Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.
