Pearl Abyss has released the 1.13.00 update for Crimson Desert across all platforms, introducing a significant haul of new gear, expanded character capabilities, and several quality-of-life adjustments. The patch, available now, focuses heavily on broadening equipment options for playable characters while refining the overall experience.

New Equipment and Customization

The update adds 39 new pieces of equipment for Kliff and Oongka, ranging from boss-specific gear to new armor and headgear sets. Notable additions include the Tarandus the Ashen, Unyielding Hero, and Knight of Carnage outfits, among others. Damiane is also receiving attention with eight new pieces of armor, along with access to specific boss equipment like the Guardian of Odeck and Dark Marksman sets. Players can acquire this new gear through a mix of quests, achievements, and shop purchases.

Beyond raw stats, Pearl Abyss has expanded the game's aesthetic options. Many disguise outfits that were previously locked are now dyeable, and most primary and secondary weapons have been updated to support custom dye colors as well. Additionally, players can now craft four new types of carpets for their housing setups.

Expanded Abyss Access and Gameplay Tweaks

Oongka and Damiane can now enter the Abyss, which has necessitated a change in the location of Memory Fragments for bosses including Corrupted Caliburn, Goyen, Draven the Crowcaller, and Clockwork White Horn.

Quality-of-life improvements are a major component of this patch. Players can now allow their summoned pets to rest in bed alongside their character. For those looking to capture cleaner footage or simply enjoy a more immersive experience, a new setting under Settings > Others > Gameplay allows users to hide the minimap and status HUD. Other gameplay additions include the “Hunter’s Sigil,” an item that enables bird pets to retrieve prey and gatherable items based on their specialties.

Combat and Technical Fixes

Combat has received several mechanical refinements. Muskets and pistols can now be fired while sliding, and the auto-tracking system for quests has been improved to prevent targets from switching unexpectedly. Numerous bug fixes accompany these changes, including resolutions for issues where rowboats would sink, wagons would vanish during specific quests, and cutscenes would stutter on PlayStation 5.

The update also addresses character-specific issues, such as Damiane’s Smiting Strike proficiency when using a spear and various Greathammer skill behaviors for Oongka. Performance stability has been bolstered with fixes for crashes occurring during map navigation and boss rematches.
