Wuthering Waves: How to Download and Switch Resource Package Tiers

Check the platform and PC test eligibility

Kuro’s resource-tier instructions distinguish PC test access from mobile availability. The PC test uses the Official Launcher and offers UHD, HD and SD; PC users outside the limited test receive HD by default after version 3.7. Do not treat a missing PC tier selector as proof of a broken installation when test access is absent. [1]

Download and choose a PC package in the Official Launcher

Steps

1. If your PC account has test access, download the desired tier or tiers from the Official Launcher. The publisher allows up to three installed tiers locally. [1]
2. When more than one tier is installed, select the one you want to launch. Only one tier can run at a time. If removing a tier, select that package before uninstalling it. [1]

Select or switch the mobile resource tier

For iOS and Android, the publisher lists HD and SD with one locally installed package. Some devices are restricted to SD for hardware reasons; use the options actually offered to your device. [1]

Steps

1. Choose the desired tier in the in-game Download Resources menu. After downloading, use Settings > Graphics > Resource Quality to redownload and switch to another available tier. [1]

Choose according to storage and device capability

Resource tiers differ in graphics quality, models, video bitrate and other assets. Kuro describes the feature as a choice between better visuals and lower storage use based on device specifications. It does not promise that the highest tier is appropriate for every device. [1]
