September 8: in-game Wurmpedia errors
The same update addresses a CefWrapper load error when opening in-game Wurmpedia and its failure to open when Wurm runs with elevated Windows permissions. The notes describe those client changes. They do not instruct players to download a replacement browser library from an unofficial server. [1]
September 8: an item removed during dragging could crash
The September 8 notes say removing an item from inventory while it was being dragged should no longer crash the client. Keep the action sequence in a bug report: an inventory item disappearing during a drag is the documented trigger, rather than every inventory or trading action. [1]
September 8: performance drops caused by night shadows
The September client changelog fixes massive performance drops when all moons were below the horizon and nighttime shadows were rendered. This is a specific rendering condition. A slow frame rate at another time or with a different cause is not automatically covered by that resolution. [1]
Deed rules and upkeep are managed at the token
The settlement token provides the deed’s rules and settings. Its Info entry displays deed size, guard count and remaining upkeep, while Manage windows changes village permissions. [4]
Settlement founding is blocked by the chosen tile
A settlement token cannot be inside a cave, a house, or a submerged tile. Aggressive animals on the planned deed also prevent founding; animals in the future perimeter do not count toward this check. These are documented founding restrictions. [3]
Client continued running after shutdown or a crash
The August 25 client changelog says the client should no longer remain running after regular shutdown or a crash. It also replaces the web-rendering library used for in-game Wurmpedia and says its CEF process should close when the client shuts down. [2]
