War Thunder: How to Enter the October SEAD Event and Use Safe Exits

Enter the October 16–19 SEAD event

This limited event runs from October 16 at 11:00 GMT until October 19 at 11:00 GMT. A rank V or higher aircraft in the hangar qualifies the player to enter. Event vehicles are assigned automatically and need not be purchased. [1]

Steps

1. In the hangar, open Events & Tournaments > Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses. [1]

Follow the assigned attacking or defending objective

Attackers must destroy all S-75 SAM positions, using the assigned F-4E and AH-1F options. Defenders protect the S-75 sites using the MiG-21bis. Each player has three respawns. Enemy map icons are absent except for enemies circling directly above protected spawn points, so normal marker expectations do not apply. [1]

Spend the required ordnance to unlock safe exit

Steps

1. Vehicle spawns cost Silver Lions. A refund is available if the aircraft survives the mission or exits in a safe zone, with the amount depending on its condition. Safe exit opens after all air-to-ground weapons are used when those were carried; a loadout with only air-to-air missiles must expend those missiles instead. [1]
