Vampire Survivors: How to Reach Holy Forbidden and Collect the Yellow Sign

Unlock Moongolow, identify a character eligible for its eclipse, follow Holy Forbidden’s corridor and pass the false wall to collect the Yellow Sign.

Unlock Moongolow through four normal-stage Hyper unlocks

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

Moongolow unlocks after Hyper mode has been unlocked for four normal stages. Count those normal-stage Hyper unlocks when checking the prerequisite; a run in an unrelated bonus stage is not the condition stated by the official community wiki. This route does not require using the wiki’s alternative Forbidden Scrolls spell. [1]

Steps

  1. Unlock Hyper mode for four normal stages, then choose Moongolow for the eclipse route. [1]

Choose a character with the blood-moon eligibility marker

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

Check Moongolow’s title card on the stage-selection screen. A glowing blood moon indicates that the chosen character can enter the eclipse sequence. The marker is a direct eligibility check, so use it before beginning the run rather than assuming that every unlocked character triggers this event. [1]

Steps

  1. Select a character for whom Moongolow’s title card shows the glowing blood moon. [1]

Defeat the special boss at fourteen minutes

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The eclipse changes the stage’s presentation. At fourteen minutes a fish-eye effect and circling eyeballs accompany the special angel-like boss. Defeating it increases the distortion; after a minute the game appears to freeze, then automatically teleports the player to Holy Forbidden after a few seconds. In this specific scripted sequence, that brief apparent freeze is documented behavior. [1]

Steps

  1. Defeat Moongolow’s fourteen-minute special boss to enter Holy Forbidden. [2]

Move through the corridor with the starting weapon

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

Holy Forbidden removes the run’s Revivals, Armor, Move Speed, Growth, Arcana, passive items and extra weapons, retaining the starting weapon. The game cannot be paused there and the player cannot level up. Plan to move through its corridor under those restrictions instead of waiting to rebuild the Moongolow loadout. [2]

Pausing and leveling are explicitly unavailable during this sequence. [2]

Pick up the Rosary and continue through the false wall

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

Follow the corridor to the Rosary. Picking it up banishes the hordes, but the Yellow Sign is farther east. The final wall to the Rosary’s right is false: walk through it onto the invisible bridge. The wiki also notes that the stage ends automatically thirty seconds after the Rosary if the relic is not collected. [2]

The Rosary is therefore a short window to finish the route, rather than the relic itself. [2]

Steps

  1. Take the Rosary, pass through the false wall on its right, and follow the invisible bridge to the Yellow Sign. [2]

Collect the relic and expect the run to end

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

A green arrow tracks the Yellow Sign. Collecting it automatically ends the run and removes Holy Forbidden from the normal access route. This is the expected finish to the relic task. It should not be mistaken for the hotfix’s separate Bloodmoon boss bug. [3]
