1.0.20 announcement warns of a Mac App Store crossplay version delay

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

Iron Gate’s 1.0.20 announcement warns that the Mac App Store patch is delayed and that crossplay with other platforms will not work until that release catches up. This records the publisher’s version-delay notice, rather than an independently tested outage for every player. The same notice expects crossplay to resume once the Mac App Store patch is available; it does not give a workaround that makes mismatched releases compatible. [1]

Resolved

1.0.20 resets incorrect cheated-item flags caused by the initial 1.0 release

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The 1.0.20 notes reset cheated flags on items and build pieces from previous versions to address a launch bug that marked some legitimately obtained items as cheated. This is a released correction for that labeling bug. It should not be presented as permission to use cheats or a general method for restoring a character or world deliberately placed in a permanent cheated state. [1] [2]

Resolved

1.0.20 fixes a dedicated server wasting CPU when a local client had v-sync enabled

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The patch fixes a dedicated server running at an uncapped frame rate when v-sync was enabled in a client on the same computer, wasting substantial CPU time. The same-computer condition matters. This is not a claim that all server CPU use is caused by v-sync or that every player needs to change their graphics settings. [1]

Documented workaround

Old boss kills do not automatically grant new 1.0 achievements

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

Achievement statistics begin tracking when 1.0 is downloaded. The official FAQ specifically says an Eikthyr-kill achievement requires defeating Eikthyr again even if the character had done so hundreds of times before the update. Continuing an old save is supported; the missing retroactive unlock should not automatically be diagnosed as a damaged save. [2]

Documented steps

  1. For a kill-based achievement such as Eikthyr, perform the qualifying kill again after updating to 1.0, on an achievement-eligible character and world. [2]
Documented workaround

Achievements are blocked while a character carries cheated items

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

A normally eligible character that picks up a cheated item enters a temporary cheated state. The FAQ says that character cannot unlock achievements while in that state, and can become eligible again after discarding every cheated item from the inventory. This temporary item condition is distinct from permanent character or world flags caused by most cheat commands. [2]

Documented steps

  1. For the temporary state caused by picking up cheated items, remove all visibly marked cheated items from the inventory. [2]
