Prepare the tournament furniture and numbered tables
Tournament hosting starts with the Tournament Prize Shelf added to MY DIY. The tournament also needs numbered play tables so participants can play; a shelf alone is not the entire setup. [1]
Steps
Configure the tournament in the phone app
The phone’s Tournament app is the hosting control. It lets you choose an event size from 8 to 32 participants, select prizes and set the entry fee. [1]
Steps
Build a deck at the Workbench before joining
Version 1.0 adds playable Tetramon matches and lets you enter your own tournament. The Workbench unlocks at shop level 7 and contains the full rulebook as well as deck creation, so complete that early progression first. [2]
Steps
Join the tournament you host
The 1.0 update enables participation in your own hosted tournament. Your final ranking determines whether you keep prizes, so hosting does not automatically award the tournament’s prizes to the shop owner. [2]
Steps
Practise ordinary duels while the shop remains open
For a normal quick duel outside the tournament, approach a lone customer waiting at a play table and press RMB on PC or the gamepad’s right face button. The developer describes these as 3–5 minute matches while the shop continues operating. That is a practical way to learn the deck before making tournament results depend on it. [2]
Check the difference between joining and progression bugs
Build 1.01 fixes a joining problem; Build 1.02 describes its tournament-progression change only as a possible fix. If the event stalls, note whether the issue is joining a match or advancing the event rather than assuming they are identical. [2]
