Choose Missions Hub for missed goals
The released quality-of-life update separates two actions that previously had confusing names and access points. Missions Hub replays a previous level with the current squad and perks. Jump to Stage loads a point in the campaign and continues from there. For missed Confidence Goals, the developer specifically warns that Jump to Stage is the wrong tool because not all current progress is preserved. [1]
Open the hub from the current mission or main menu
Missions Hub is the tab normally seen between missions. The update adds an in-game menu option that returns to it at any time, together with a main-menu option that opens it directly. You no longer need to wait for the next naturally occurring gap between missions just to revisit an earlier level. [1]
Steps
- Use the in-game menu’s Missions Hub option, or open Missions Hub directly from the main menu. [1]
Select a previous level with your current squad
Choose the previous level from the hub to replay it with the current squad and perks. This is the documented distinction from loading an earlier campaign state. Some tutorial levels are replayable too, but their squad-selection option is disabled because changing characters would break them. A disabled selector on one of those tutorials is therefore a documented constraint. [1]
The tutorial exception preserves the original character requirements. [1]
Steps
- Select the earlier level in Missions Hub and replay it with the current squad and perks, subject to the tutorial restriction. [1]
Adjust perks and outfits through the same route
The hub route can also be used to tweak perks or change outfits during a mission. Perk adjustment is conditional on having refund points; the announcement does not describe an unlimited free refund. Use this option when the goal is changing the current team’s configuration, rather than starting an independent campaign branch. [1]
Steps
- Return through the hub to change outfits or adjust perks when refund points are available. [1]
Use a new save slot for a campaign restart
If you actually want to jump backward and continue the campaign from that point, choose Jump to Stage. Jumping to an earlier stage or starting a new game prompts for a new save slot, allowing a return to the old slot. Slots are fully independent, so a second person’s playthrough can use a different slot without altering yours. [1]
Independence is an explicit property of the slots, not an assumption about checkpoint behavior. [1]
Steps
- Choose a new save slot when prompted after jumping to an earlier stage or starting a new game; keep the old slot for returning to the existing playthrough. [1]
Restore original dialogue when replaying
On team select, Use Defaults also enables the original breach dialogue. Special Edition owners with commentary enabled see a tape icon on levels that have commentary. These options help distinguish a replay using the original presentation from one customized around the current team, without changing the basic choice between the hub and a campaign restart. [1]
