Sun Haven: How to Correct Salon Changes and Restore a Missing Tailfin

Use the official 3.1.3b recovery steps for overlapping pants, stale race customization, invisible multiplayer legs and a missing Amari Fish Tailfin.

Identify the affected Steam build and character symptom

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The developer identifies 3.1.3b as live on Steam for Windows, Steam Deck and Mac. This guide follows that Steam patch. It does not assume the Nintendo Switch build has the same fix or Salon behaviour. [1]

One affected appearance is a pair of default pants showing beneath the newly chosen pants after changing the character at the Salon. Check that visible symptom before changing unrelated equipment or assuming character progression is missing. [1]

Revisit the Salon for the listed appearance problems

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The official recovery instruction is to use the Salon again. It applies to the listed Salon problems, including clothes overlapping and the multiplayer legs issue. The instruction is a developer workaround, rather than a claim that this article has reproduced every character combination. [1]

Steps

  1. Return to the Salon and use its customization flow again for the affected character. [1]
  2. If the symptom was old customization after a race change while wearing a hat or cape, compare the appearance with that named case. The patch records it separately from a missing Tailfin. [1]

Recognise the multiplayer-only legs symptom

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The multiplayer bug has a precise sequence: customization changes, then removing pants, followed by non-host players being unable to see the legs. A difference between host and guest views can therefore match this recorded bug. The patch does not describe missing inventory or deleted characters as part of it. [1]

Reselect a missing Amari Fish Tailfin

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

Tailfin has a separate correction to its colour options. If an existing Tailfin is now missing, the developer says to select the preferred tail again at the Salon. Treat that as the first documented recovery action rather than creating a new character. [1]

Steps

  1. Open the tail choice at the Salon and reselect the preferred tail. [1]

Use the developer’s bug template if the documented recovery fails

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

For a continuing issue, the developer directs players to the Discord #report-bugs channel and its pinned report template. Distinguish which Salon symptom remains and whether another player sees the same character differently; the template is the official route for supplying the requested details. [1]
