SWTOR: How to Change Weapon Appearance With Outfitter

Keep the equipped weapon’s stats while stamping a compatible weapon’s appearance, sound, crystal and tuning onto an outfit.

Choose a compatible appearance weapon

Weapons in Outfitter separates the weapon supplying your stats from the weapon supplying your appearance. The equipped Gear-window weapon supplies the stats. The Outfitter weapon must be the same type and supplies its look, unique sound, Color Crystal and Weapon Tuning. Dual-wielding styles have the corresponding weapon slots. [1]

Apply the weapon appearance to the selected outfit

Steps

  1. Keep the weapon whose stats you want equipped in the Gear window. Open the Character Sheet and select the outfit you intend to change in the Outfitter tab. [1]
  2. Drop the compatible appearance weapon into that outfit’s Weapon slot, or the appropriate slots for a dual-wielding style. [1]
  3. When the selection is correct, click Commit. The publisher’s example keeps a Decurion Force-Lord’s Lightsaber’s stats while showing the appearance of a Dark Honor Guard’s Unstable Lightsaber. [1]
