Star Trek Online: How to Assign Ships to Admiralty Missions

Choose an Admiralty assignment, match ship statistics and abilities to its requirements, and account for ship maintenance afterward.

Check which ships are available to Admiralty

The publisher’s Admiralty guide says its roster represents starship classes you have access to, including commissioned ships. Unclaimed ships and ships still in Reward Packs are excluded. Dismissing a starship from the active roster does not remove its Admiralty counterpart, so an unclaimed reward is different from a previously commissioned ship. [1]

Choose an assignment and select its ships

Steps

  1. Choose an available assignment to enter its planning stage. The publisher allows up to three Admiralty Ships, with at least one ship needed to begin. [1]
  2. Compare the ships’ ENG, SCI and TAC statistics with the assignment’s requirements. Ship statistics describe their ability to succeed on assignments. [1]
  3. Read each selected ship’s special ability before committing. Those conditions can modify assignment requirements or rewards, including benefits that depend on another selected ship or on using a ship alone. [1]

Plan around maintenance after completion

Every assigned ship enters maintenance afterward, regardless of the result. Higher-tier ships require longer maintenance according to the publisher’s system explanation. A temporarily unavailable ship may therefore be undergoing maintenance rather than missing from the roster; keep that turnaround in mind when selecting ships for later assignments. [1]
