11.3.0 fixes excessive horizontal movement after a Squid Surge wall jump
Nintendo’s 11.3.0 notes, dated August 20, 2026 on the UK support page, fix unintended extra horizontal movement caused by certain actions immediately after jumping off a wall with Squid Surge. This is a version-specific movement correction. The patch statement does not say ordinary wall jumps or every movement difference are a new unresolved bug. [1]
11.0.1 fixes oversized Blaster explosion hit detection after terrain impact
Another 11.0.1 fix reduces a larger-than-intended opponent hit-detection size when Blaster shots hit terrain or other objects. The same notes separately record balance changes, so this bug fix should not be confused with every later weapon adjustment. Keep both the terrain-impact condition and historical version attached to the report. [1]
11.0.1 fixes Flow Aura ink not appearing on other screens
The 11.0.1 update fixes the ink at a player’s feet failing to display for other players when Flow Aura begins or is extended. This is a documented rendering/synchronization correction for that particular ink effect, separate from whether the player has met the conditions to gain Flow Aura. It should not be presented as a currently confirmed problem on every later version. [1]
Tournament Manager has not created the Private Battle room
Tournament Manager creates the match’s Private Battle room after both teams check in. Each captain must check in for every match through SplatNet 3 after confirming the team is ready. Registering a team alone is not the documented room-creation trigger. [2]
Documented steps
- Have both team captains check in for that match in Tournament Manager, then look for the Tournament Room from the Lobby’s Friends tab. [2]
Friends using different software versions cannot play together
Nintendo requires all players to use the same Splatoon 3 version. Its support page says the current update is needed for online features and that a Nintendo Switch Online membership is also required. Compare versions before treating a failed join as an isolated account problem. [1]
Documented steps
- From HOME, highlight Splatoon 3 without launching it, press plus or minus, then use Software Update → Via the Internet. Compare the version shown on the title screen with the other player. [1]
