Sky: How to Link Your Existing Account Before Changing Devices

Start from the profile you want to keep

Continue the Steam profile on PlayStation or Switch

For a Steam profile moving to PlayStation or Nintendo Switch, thatgamecompany requires the linking process to happen on a mobile device. Starting a brand-new game on the destination platform is not the documented transfer procedure. First sign in to the existing profile through mobile, then add the destination account link from inside that profile. [2]

1. Install and launch Sky on the mobile device. If asked to create a new account, choose Cancel because you already have a Sky profile. [2]
2. Tap the login button at the bottom and sign in using the Steam credentials for the profile you intend to transfer. [2]
3. Inside that profile, use Settings → Account → Linking and complete the prompts for the PlayStation or Nintendo account. Then install and launch Sky on that console to access the linked profile. [2]

The reverse route also uses mobile. A profile primarily used on PlayStation or Switch is signed into on the mobile device using that console account’s credentials before a Steam link is added.
