Pokémon UNITE Known Issues, Workarounds and Fixes

Source-documented Pokémon UNITE troubleshooting and fixes, with symptoms and scope kept separate.

Nintendo SwitchMobile
Documented workaround

UNITE Club may not renew when only using the other operating system

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, MobileEvidence checked

UNITE Club data transfers with the save when both platforms link the same data. Renewal has a separate requirement: log in on the device and operating system where the membership was purchased on its renewal date. Support’s example is an Android purchase played mainly on iOS; the renewal-date login must still happen on Android. [1]

Documented steps

  1. On the renewal date, log in on the purchase device and operating system, even if you normally play the linked save elsewhere. [1]
Documented workaround

Existing save is missing after a fresh-device setup

Platforms: Nintendo Switch, MobileEvidence checked

The Pokémon UNITE support article warns that selecting a new mobile setup without the correct Nintendo Account or Pokémon Trainer Central account prevents syncing the existing Switch save within that setup. Starting the Switch version before linking its Nintendo Account to the mobile save creates a similar conflict. These are account-selection cases, not evidence that every missing save has been deleted. [2]

Documented steps

  1. Before launching on another platform, check the existing save’s linked account. Use that same Nintendo Account or Pokémon Trainer Central account for both versions. [2]
