Find the Raid, enter with the pink pass button and understand remote lobby limits, bonuses and event exceptions.

Have a Remote Raid Pass and check the current event rules

Platforms: MobileEvidence checked

A Remote Raid Pass lets a Pokémon GO Trainer enter many Raid Battles shown in Nearby or accessible from the map. The support page lists the Shop and occasional event rewards as sources. It also sets a standard daily limit of ten Remote Raids, which special events can raise, and prevents acquiring another pass while three or more are held. Check the event-specific rules before planning a series of raids. [1]

Find the Raid through Nearby, the map or a friend invitation

Platforms: MobileEvidence checked

Open Nearby in the lower-right corner of the Map View and choose the Raid tab. Select View beneath the Raid you want. A Gym with an ongoing Raid Battle can also be tapped from the map, or you can access a Raid through an invitation from a friend. These are the documented access routes; they do not make every Raid type remotely eligible. [1]

Steps

  1. Use Nearby → Raid → View, tap an eligible Gym on the map or open a friend’s Raid invitation. [1]

Use the pink Remote Raid Pass entry button

Once the Raid is open, the pink entry button lets you exchange the Remote Raid Pass for admission. The standard remote capacity is five Trainers in one lobby, with possible temporary adjustments. If five remote entrants are already present under that standard rule, the next entrant is placed in a new lobby instead of necessarily joining the same group. [1]

Steps

  1. Tap the pink Remote Raid Pass button to enter the Raid lobby. [1]

Choose the team and understand the remote differences

Select the Pokémon you want to use in the Raid. The battle mechanics are the same as an in-person Raid, but support says remote Pokémon have lower attack power, subject to temporary adjustments. Completed remote Raids still count for Raid-related research and medals, while Best Friend and team attack-power and Premier Ball bonuses continue to apply. Remote entry therefore changes some conditions without removing all progression credit. [1]
