Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Known Issues and Fixes

Historical PC fixes for frozen turn queues, ship combat, movement speed and loading, kept separate from Pillars of Eternity’s newer updates.

4.1.2: Mage Slayer interruption leaves a cast in the turn queue

Platforms: PCVersions: 4.1.2.0047Updated Evidence checked

The patch removes casts interrupted by Mage Slayer from the turn queue correctly in turn-based mode. The report concerns that interruption interaction; it does not establish that every delayed action or spell interruption has the same cause. [1]

4.1.2: deck-to-deck loot loss and jumping between ships

Platforms: PCVersions: 4.1.2.0047Updated Evidence checked

Obsidian fixes excess loot being lost in deck-to-deck combat and characters being unable to jump between ships’ decks in turn-based combat. These are separate corrections in the same published PC patch. [1]

4.1.2: an immobile Terrified party member does not pass its turn

Platforms: PCVersions: 4.1.2.0047Updated Evidence checked

Obsidian’s February 2019 patch lists a turn-handling fix for Terrified party members who cannot move. They now pass the turn correctly. This is a dated Deadfire correction and should not be confused with newer updates to the first Pillars of Eternity. [1]

Official fix available

4.1.2: characters remain at walking speed after a cutscene

Platforms: PCVersions: 4.1.2.0047Updated Evidence checked

The same notes fix characters being left at walking speed after a cutscene and after leaving a Slog Zone. These are the documented circumstances, rather than a universal remedy for every movement-speed choice. [1]
