Use camera indicators before capturing media
The July quality-of-life update gives Photo Cameras the highlight frame already used by Video Cameras. Tier 2 and 3 Photo Cameras show an on-screen indicator; on Tier 1 the light changes from red to green. When several media targets are present, the system prioritizes the largest reward or a unique target. [1]
Steps
- Use your Photo Camera’s highlight feedback to frame evidence: watch the on-screen indicator on Tier 2/3 or the red-to-green light on Tier 1. [1]
Read duplicate-media feedback
From v0.19.0.0, cameras and sound recorders indicate duplicate evidence. Tier 1 Photo Cameras use a yellow LED. Higher-tier Photo Cameras and all Video Cameras show faded text. Tier 1 Sound Recorders dim their volume indicators, while Tier 2/3 recorders show faded sound waves. [1]
Steps
- Check the duplicate indicator on the equipment you are using before spending effort on another capture of the same evidence. [1]
Compare team evidence selections in the Journal
The August update lets the Journal display teammates’ evidence and ghost-type selections. Selecting a ghost type highlights its required evidence. Use those recorded selections alongside the equipment feedback; this feature does not certify that a teammate’s guess is correct. [1]
