Peglin: How to Build Roundrel Ballusion After the Act 4 Update

Choose Ballusion gains, account for Weave of Fate’s double consumption, carry stacks with Beleaguered Boots, and pair the defense with the revised Douball Douball.

Choose a Ballusion gain before evaluating multipliers

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

For a Roundrel Ballusion setup, compare the new relic triggers instead of treating every Ballusion relic as the same effect. Duck (And Cover) grants 15 Ballusion whenever an attack is evaded. Chain of Reaction grants 100 Ballusion on the first evasion of each battle, so its large gain is explicitly limited to that first trigger. Use the repeatable trigger and the once-per-battle trigger for their respective roles when choosing between rewards. [1]

Steps

  1. When Duck (And Cover) is offered, evaluate it as a repeatable gain of 15 Ballusion per evasion. [1]

Account for both halves of Weave of Fate

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

Weave of Fate doubles all Ballusion gained, but also doubles the Ballusion lost when Ballusion triggers. Read both clauses before choosing it: doubling the incoming amount is not the same as permanently doubling the available reserve after subsequent triggers. Counter Tack is a different kind of reward, damaging the attacker whenever an attack is dodged rather than supplying the listed Ballusion gain. [1]

Steps

  1. When taking Weave of Fate, budget for doubled consumption as well as doubled gains. [1]

Use the new cap and the revised Boots for different jobs

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The Act 4 balance update raises the default Ballusion cap from 100 to 999. Beleaguered Boots now carries Ballusion between battles instead of increasing that cap. Check the current description when following an older build: a higher ceiling and retaining stacks into the next battle solve different problems. Evaluate the Boots for cross-battle retention under the revised rules. [1]

Pair the defense with the revised Douball Douball deliberately

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

For a complementary debuff route, Douball Douball is now 0/0 at every level. Level 1 doubles the target’s Spinfection; level 2 additionally doubles Exploitaball and Darcness; level 3 doubles all negative status effects on the target. Choose its upgrade level for the effects this build actually applies. These are the published effect relationships, not a measured claim that this combination guarantees a Cruciball win. [1]
