Meet the Communal Table and displayed-Ornament requirements, use an appropriate display and distinguish the Banquet Hall from older decor-room rules.

Use the new Banquet Hall room requirements

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The Banquet Hall room added in the November 2025 quality-of-life update requires a Communal Table and an Ornament displayed on either a Pedestal or Display Shelf. Start with those named requirements rather than substituting any decorative item and assuming its Decor score is enough. The room provides a large Morale boost. [1]

Steps

  1. Place a Communal Table for the dining room. [1]
  2. Display an Ornament on a Pedestal or Display Shelf within the room. [1]

Choose an Ornament rather than any loose material

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

Ornaments are a specific class of decorative objects. Artifacts and Keepsakes are included. A display capable of holding other materials does not make every displayed material an Ornament, so check that category when the room requirement is not satisfied. [1]

Keep the display supported and occupied

The display also needs its foundation and an item on it. An empty or unsupported Pedestal or Display Shelf will not count as a decor building. Inspect the actual displayed state rather than only checking that the structure was once constructed. [1]

Pedestals show No Object Displayed when empty. That status can help identify the missing display step. [1]

Let Duplicants use the Communal Table together

Platforms: PCUpdated Evidence checked

The Communal Table seats up to three Duplicants at once. Dining with friends grants an additional +1 Morale effect described by the update. That social effect is distinct from the room’s own Morale benefit, and the source does not claim that simply placing a table guarantees every diner is accompanied. [1]

Check changed decoration rules when adapting an old dining room

The update replaces high-Decor-item requirements in applicable room types with a displayed Ornament. An older arrangement built around a +20 Decor object may therefore need a change rather than just another copy of the same object. [1]

Flower Pots and their decor plants also stop counting as two separate items toward room requirements. Check the updated room information before adding more pots to solve a displayed-Ornament requirement. [1]
