Select a Legacy Pass you own, activate it for XP and check which old rewards are excluded from the unvaulted version.

The October 6, 2026 retail update adds Unvaulted Battle Pass progression alongside the current season’s pass. From the Home Screen, open Battle Passes > Legacy Pass to see available passes. A pass you previously bought can be activated when it becomes available again. [1]

Steps

  1. Select an available pass that you own, then activate it in the Legacy Pass menu. Ownership alone is not the complete requirement for earning its Battle Pass XP. [1]
  2. Choose one Unvaulted Pass to progress alongside the current seasonal pass. Only one old pass can be active at a time. [1]

Understand carried-over progress and missing rewards

Progress from the original run carries over when that pass is unvaulted. However, the new version does not contain every original reward: the patch lists Mythic Skins, Mythic Prisms, Overwatch Coins, XP Boosts and Player Titles among rewards no longer obtainable through these passes. Check the available reward track before choosing which one to activate. [1]

A locked old pass may not be available yet

Availability is staged: the launch notes say locked Unvaulted Passes arrive in later seasons, and specifically defer 2026 Season 4 until midseason. A locked entry therefore does not by itself establish a missing-entitlement bug. [1]
