Edit in the Holy Mountain and choose a no-shuffle wand
Wand editing changes the spells and their order, and normally takes place inside the Holy Mountain. For a predictable sequence, choose a wand with Shuffle set to No. A no-shuffle wand reads its spells from left to right; a shuffle wand randomizes the order before recharging. The publisher-linked community wiki documents these mechanics. Starting with the ordered queue makes the relationship between spell placement and the next cast easier to follow. The queue order differs by shuffle setting. [1]
Steps
- In the normal Holy Mountain editing location, choose a no-shuffle wand for a left-to-right spell queue. [1]
Fit the sequence into the wand’s slots
Capacity is the number of available slots for spells and modifiers. Arrange the intended sequence within those slots and remember that adding more spells lengthens the queue before the wand reaches its recharge. Extra capacity therefore gives room to build a larger sequence; it does not automatically make every added spell free to fire or shorten the time to the end of the queue. [1]
Steps
- Arrange the spells in left-to-right order within the available capacity slots. [1]
Compare Cast Delay with Recharge Time
Cast Delay is the wait before the next spell in the queue, while Recharge Time refreshes the whole queue when it reaches the end. Compare both when deciding whether a wand suits a sequence. They can run simultaneously: the wiki’s example of 0.5-second cast delay and 0.5-second recharge waits 0.5 seconds, rather than adding them into a one-second wait. Spell effects can change Recharge Time, so the base recharge number alone does not describe every assembled cast. The timers can overlap. Recharge refreshes the queue and spell effects can change it. [1]
Check the mana pool and recovery before filling every slot
Mana Max is the full pool; Mana Charge Speed is how much mana regenerates each second. Spells and modifiers consume mana immediately, and insufficient mana can cause parts of a cast to be omitted. Adding every available modifier can therefore make a previously usable combat wand run short during a longer fight. Check those two mana statistics as well as timing, and avoid filling all capacity simply because slots remain empty. Recovery is a separate per-second statistic. Parts of a cast can be omitted if mana is insufficient. The wiki explicitly advises against blindly filling the wand. [1]
