Assigned Quest multiplayer waits for its cutscene
For story-based Assigned Quests, players must first see the quest’s cutscene. A player who has not seen it must progress until SOS Flares become available. This prerequisite explains an unavailable join opportunity at the start of such a quest. [1]
Documented steps
- Progress through the Assigned Quest until the cutscene has played and SOS Flares become available. [1]
PC cannot join console versions
The official Steam FAQ says World does not support cross-platform play between PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Matching a player on another of those platforms is a product limitation, not an invitation fix supplied by this FAQ. [1]
Loading an Item Loadout replaces radial shortcuts
Capcom’s Steam FAQ explains that saving an Item Loadout also saves its item and radial-menu shortcuts. Loading the preset replaces the current shortcuts with those stored in it. A shortcut change after loading that preset therefore has a documented cause. [1]
Capcom cannot replace lost save data
The FAQ says saves reside on the PC’s local drive or Steam Cloud rather than a Capcom server. It says corrupted, deleted or overwritten data is not recoverable and Capcom cannot provide replacement saves. Do not confuse cloud synchronization with a separate publisher-side recovery service. [1]
