Use the host-only gameplay commands
The Plant a Tree update publishes a chat-command list with a Gameplay settings section explicitly restricted to the host. These commands change the worldβs gameplay rules. The same list separately marks Settings for everyone, so a joining player should not expect personal chat access to grant host control over survival rules. [1]
The commands are documented as chat commands. Enter the listed slash-command syntax in chat, using one of the supported values shown beside that command. [1]
Choose the need rule and its supported value
The host can use /nohunger and /nothirst with on or off. These are separate switches: choose the hunger or thirst rule you intend to change instead of assuming one command covers both. [1]
For configurable need settings, the list gives /foodneed, /waterneed, /woodneed and /allneeds. Each accepts on, off or a value from zero to one thousand. Use the individual command when only that need should change; /allneeds is the combined setting. [1]
Steps
Set season length within the documented range
The published /seasonlength range is one to thirty, while /buildingslimit uses a separate one-hundred-to-two-hundred range. These numeric ranges belong to their respective commands; they are not interchangeable percentages or universal limits for every rule. [1]
Steps
- Use /seasonlength followed by a number from 1 to 30 for the worldβs season-length setting. [1]
Change remote-storage access with its own switch
The host list includes separate on/off switches for fast building, fast crafting and remote storages. To change storage access, use /remotestorages itself. Turning on another convenience setting is not the documented command for changing that rule. [1]
Steps
- Enter /remotestorages on or /remotestorages off for the desired remote-storage setting. [1]
Keep progression changes separate from personal options
Experience, technology and reputation gain have separate commands: /xpgain, /techgain and /repgain, each with a published range of ten to one thousand. [1]
Head bob, camera shakes, item stacking and mute appear under the everyone-accessible Settings category. Use that distinction when coordinating a co-op session: personal presentation settings and host-controlled progression rules have different authority. [1]
