Understand the starting Bind
Team Cherry describes Hornet’s starting healing action as Bind: when she has enough silk, she wraps her wounds to heal. Its original systems explanation says the starting Bind heals three masks and consumes the full starting spool. This describes the basic starting setup; later tools and Crests can alter binding behaviour, as the released patch notes’ Shaman and Multibinder adjustments illustrate. [1] [2]
Use a safe opening for the healing action
Steps
- Check that you have enough silk for Bind before using the healing action. With the starting setup described by Team Cherry, plan around spending the full starting spool. [1]
- Use Bind when you have an opening to complete it. Hornet can Bind in mid-air, but taking a hit during the action wastes both the healing effect and the silk. [1]
Recover the silk left after defeat
Hornet leaves a cocoon after defeat, containing a full stock of silk. Team Cherry describes a tactical choice: break it when that silk is most useful during the next difficult encounter. This gives you a reserve to plan around while applying the same Bind timing rule. [1]
