Use the console Load Order Archive
Bethesda documents a Load Order Archive procedure for preserving a console Creations order. The final May 27, 2026 patch notes distinguish platforms: Xbox clears installed Creations on first launch after the update and can re-download them by restoring a saved load order or loading a save made since November 10, 2025; PlayStation 5 preserves installed Creations without extra steps. The archive steps below save the current order, rather than reconstructing an order that was never saved. [1]
Open the archive from the Load Order screen
Steps
Save the order to Bethesda.net and confirm completion
Steps
- Select Save Load Order to Bethesda.net, then choose Yes to confirm. [2]
- Wait for the message confirming the current load order was saved to Bethesda.net. [2]
- Exit the menu and let the game reload the data files. Bethesda says the load-order-changed confirmation indicates that this process is complete. [2]
Keep the archive separate from the playthrough save
The notice also identifies creating a fresh save for the ongoing playthrough as a way to preserve the load-order information before that update. Its manual sequence saves the current console load order to Bethesda.net. Follow the archive’s confirmation messages rather than assuming that entering the menu alone stored it. The notice does not describe a complete backup of every game file. [2]
