Check the 2026 Season content first
The September v1.25 announcement identifies the 2026 F2 season for F1 25: 2026 Season Edition and 2026 Season Pack owners. Check which edition or pack you have before looking for that season’s cars. The announcement does not present the 2026 grid as an entitlement of every base-game installation. [1]
The included F2 season has its drivers, teams, cars and race calendar. Choose the intended season rather than assuming an older F2 selection is the new 2026 grid. [1]
Use Grand Prix for a race with the F2 field
EA directs players to Grand Prix to take control of a 2026 F2 title contender. This is the straightforward route for racing the field without treating Driver Career progression as the only access path. [1]
Steps
Choose Time Trial or another supported mode
The 2026 F2 cars can also be used in Time Trial, Multiplayer, split-screen and LAN. Those are distinct supported choices: use Time Trial for a timed run, or the appropriate multiplayer format when the goal is racing with other players. The announcement does not give a special account-linking procedure for these cars. [1]
Steps
- Select the supported mode that matches the session you want, then use the 2026 F2 cars there. [1]
Inspect the cars in Showroom
Showroom is another supported way to inspect the 2026 cars. It is a viewing option, rather than a race or an extra Career unlock. Use it when the task is checking the cars themselves before choosing a track session. [1]
Keep the Career bonus separate from mode access
Version 1.25 separately adds bonus Recognition when a Driver Career F2 season is completed and the first F1 season begins. That progression reward is not described as a prerequisite for choosing F2 in Grand Prix or Time Trial. [1]
The patch also fixes Accolades displaying incorrectly when starting Driver Career with an Official F2 driver. A display correction in Career should not be confused with ownership of the 2026 Season content. [1]
