Complete Academy work on the intended game profile
Driving Academy rewards are usable in the base game on the profile that earns them. Keep that profile consistent when completing the requirements; an unlocked accessory on one profile is not evidence that another profile has met the same Academy goals. [1]
The later Double Trailer Handling release repeats the profile restriction for Frankie. Distinguish the in-game profile from merely being logged into the same Steam account. [2]
Earn the first-module rewards
Completing the first Driving Academy module earns a blue traffic-cone cabin accessory and a customisable Academy truck paint job. The requirement is finishing the module, rather than simply visiting it or completing one practice scenario. [1]
Steps
- Finish the first module on the profile where you intend to use its cabin accessory and paint job. [1]
Complete Truck Driving Proficiency for its completion reward
Truck Driving Proficiency has a separate completion reward: the orange traffic-cone accessory. Completing its scenarios is different from collecting every additional star in them, so track those two goals separately. [1]
Steps
- Follow each scenario’s designated path and avoid collisions, then complete all Truck Driving Proficiency scenarios. [1]
Meet each scenario’s additional star conditions
The proficiency module offers up to three collectible stars per scenario. Additional conditions may involve using only the interior camera, limiting drive/reverse shifts, or finishing within the specified time. Check the conditions attached to the scenario rather than assuming every scenario uses the same extra test. [1]
Steps
- Earn three stars in every proficiency scenario to obtain the matching trailer paint job and golden traffic-cone accessory. [1]
Limits & applicability
- The proficiency module has no prerecorded video tutorials; it tests the skills taught in the first module. Completing the first module is useful preparation for the stricter requirements. [1]
Nerd of the Road has a lower requirement than full cosmetic completion
The 1.58 release changes Nerd of the Road to require three stars in 15 scenarios, reduced from 23. That achievement threshold is not the same as the golden accessory’s full-completion threshold. [2]
For the golden traffic cone, SCS still requires every scenario to have three stars. An achievement appearing before every scenario is maxed therefore does not establish that the full-completion cosmetic should already be unlocked. [2]
Earn the Double Trailer Handling reward separately
The Double Trailer Handling module introduced in 1.58 adds Frankie, a dog toy for the cabin. Its stated requirement is completing that module’s scenarios, and it is tied to the same in-game profile that completed them. [2]
Steps
- Complete all Double Trailer Handling scenarios on the profile that should receive Frankie. [2]
